The ingenuity of gamers never fails to impress, as proven by a number of gaming mods, gaming-inspired creations, and bizarre in-game discoveries. Most recently, the innovation of gamers was demonstrated by a Reddit user who manipulated a cow in Just Cause 3 for hilarious results.
In a Reddit video titled “That’s Cowrma,” Reddit user and Just Cause 3 player Rooonaldooo99 displayed unique placement of the boosting propeller devices Rico Rodriguez uses for a variety of purposes. Specifically, the player attached these devices, as well as some remote explosives, to the rear of a cow to then see the sparks fly.
The very comical video can be seen below.
As can be seen in the video, there is a delay at first, with the cow standing idle in the middle of the field. However, the cow quickly picks up speed as it makes plenty of twists and turns in mid-air. In the end, this appropriately explodes (literally) in Rico’s face when the cow reunites with him, only for the bombs attached to the cow earlier to be detonated to hilarious effect.
Given the game’s mechanics, players are plenty capable of hilarious hijinks. From attaching pedestrians to speeding vehicles with a cable to apparently developing a highly dangerous cow, Just Cause 3’s variety of over-the-top elements are conducive to an abundance of chaos.
Of course, Just Cause 3 was a relatively early-generation release, entering the gaming space in 2015. Since then, Just Cause 4 has come out with similar open-world gameplay and some worthwhile updates and DLC.
The Just Cause series is also set to receive a movie adaptation. Written by the same writer as the John Wick series, the film was set to begin filming at the beginning of this year. Hopefully, amidst the start of what could be a string of successful video game movie adaptations, the Just Cause movie can live up to the success of Pokémon: Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog.
Until the film’s release, the Just Cause games are somewhat flawed in presentation and user interface but are overall solid games that offer a bit more chaos than your average open-world game. Just Cause 3 is, at the very least, worth a try if the actions of Rooonaldooo99 are any indication.
