The Kingdom Hearts series has always had locked special endings. Collecting all 90 Lucky Emblems is required to unlock Kingdom Hearts III’s special ending, along with a few other goodies. These Mickey Mouse-shaped arrangements of circles are hidden throughout each world, sometimes placed onto textures and sometimes made out of objects within the world.
There are 11 Lucky Emblems scattered throughout the Monstropolis facilities that make up this world. Ready your Gummiphone and start in the Laugh Floor.
11 By The Clown Toy
An easy one to start with. In the Laugh Floor, look for a large clown toy that you can attack. Knock it around with your Keyblade until it moves across the floor. Doing so will reveal the Lucky Emblem it was covering on the ground below.
The Laugh Floor (formerly the Scare Floor) is an iconic part of Pixar’s filmography. Finally exploring it, along with a few other Pixar worlds, as Sora and the gang felt great. The Kingdom Hearts series was sorely lacking Pixar.
10 Laugh Floor Clipboard
This next one is drawn on a clipboard. Look for a workstation with a bundle of balloons on it. Face back toward the doors from the Lucky Emblem beneath the clown toy to start. The clipboard is upright on the desk across from the third door on Sora’s right.
Alternatively, simply check every workstation – there aren’t that many on the Laugh Floor. After grabbing this one and the previous Lucky Emblem beneath the clown toy, you can move on from the Laugh Floor.
9 Hallway Dead End
The easiest way to find this one is from the second Lucky Emblem. Ride the door to head deeper into the building. After you’ve ridden the grind rails for a second time, look for a hallway on your right. Run down the hallway and you’ll eventually hit a dead end. The Lucky Emblem is waiting for you there.
Pull out that Gummiphone and grab a picture of it to add another Lucky Emblem to your growing collection.
8 The Doors
Head for the Upper Level of the area with all the doors in storage. Once there, look for a tunnel and start running into it. Eventually, you’ll come across a wall of doors. The yellow doors are arranged to form a Lucky Emblem.
The doors are synonymous with Monsters, Inc. Working your way through the door storage area felt almost felt like watching the sequences through the movie.
7 Beneath The Window
The next Lucky Emblem is in the Basement of The Factory. Near the first conveyor belt is a set of stairs that leads into a hallway. Look for a label that says B2. Go down the flight of stairs in that hallway and there will be another Lucky Emblem on the wall beneath the window.
Grab the photo, add it to your collection and move on to the next one. Each Emblem brings you closer to the secret ending and rewards you with other goodies along the way.
6 The Paint Splat
This Lucky Emblem is near the Ground Floor save point. Look for the paint canisters that line the wall. Next to the pink canister, among the other paint stains on the ground, is a Lucky Emblem made of pink paint.
Stand near the paint splash and snag a photo of it with your Gummiphone before moving on.
5 Second Floor Factory
Look for this gate in the Second Floor area of The Factory. The easiest way to find it is to head up the elevator and follow the path until you find a hallway labeled D2. Continue following the path but ignore the staircase. Instead, keep going straight until you see an opening in the wall. Step into it and the Lucky Emblem is on Sora’s right.
After you grab this one, you can head back the way you came and make your way to the next Lucky Emblem.
4 The Power Plant
Head into the Power Plant. If you’re coming from the previous Lucky Emblem, you can climb the staircase and follow the path to enter the area. In the Accessway (it has a save point labeled Accessway too), look for the filing cabinets. The Lucky Emblem is above a hardhat on the right.
Angle the Gummiphone’s camera so you can take a picture of it before moving on. Too bad you can’t put the hardhat on Sora or the rest of the party though.
3 Power Plant Door Frame
This one’s in an obvious spot, but can still be easy to miss. Head outside the Power Plant until you’re outside. When you step outside the building, turn around and direct your camera back to the way you came from. The Lucky Emblem adorns the gate that marks the door to the Power Plant.
2 The Pipes
Make the jump down into the Tank Yard or otherwise get there how you please. Look for an industrial room with pipes toward the ceiling. Jump onto the platforms and look for three pipes lined up near one another. When faced from the correct angle, like in the picture above, their ends form another Lucky Emblem.
Emblems like this one, the ones that are more complicated than just the emblem embossed into a surface, are the more fun ones to find.
1 The Puddles
Head toward the Vault Passage area. Make your way to the upper path by fighting through the lower walkway where enemies appear and stand next to these yellow-suited monsters from the CDA. When you face the way you came, you will find a Lucky Emblem on the ground made out of the spilled liquid. How serendipitous.
This is the last Lucky Emblem in Monstropolis. Once you have all 11, you can move onto the next world to continue your search for the rest of the Lucky Emblems to unlock the secret ending for Kingdom Hearts 3.
