In a little over a month - yes, a month - Kingdom Hearts 3 will finally see the light of day. With such little time left, Square Enix is promoting the title like mad, promising a handful of new trailers in the weeks leading up to the big release. First, though, the company has released a slew of new screenshots, many of which feature Disney’s adorable duo of chipmunks, Chip and Dale.

There’s no set theme for the images, and they seem to be plucked from the game at random. We get some intimate shots of members of Organization XIII and the wicked Xehanort, as well as some stills from a meeting between Yen Sid and our heroes.

There are also a couple screenshots from the Frozen world, one of the brand new worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3. It looks like Anna and Kristoff will find themselves in a difficult situation, being handled by the the giant snow monster from the film. This will be temporary, however, as we also see Sora riding the beast and commanding it.

While the bulk of the screens are nothing revelatory, there are a few images showcasing Chip and Dale, who haven’t had a lot of screen time up until this point. It looks like they’ll continue working closely with Sora, Donald, and Goofy, looking after and maintaining the Gummi Ship. The screens show that part of their story takes place in Disney Castle.

For something a touch more riveting (and in motion) be sure to check out the Kingdom Hearts 3 opening cinematic trailer that dropped a few days ago - well, a portion of it, anyway. It has been cut down and turned into a tease to hype the title.

Like previous entries in the series, an action-packed cinematic will greet players at the beginning of their journey. As always, it will feature a new song by Utada Hikaru called “Face My Fears,” done in partnership with Skrillex. It wouldn’t be Kingdom Hearts without her, after all. No telling yet whether Square Enix will release the full version prior to the game’s release, but it is a possibility.

Kingdom Hearts 3 releases January 29, 2019, on both the PS4 and Xbox One.
