By January 2019, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released and will serve as the latest entry in the long-standing franchise by Final Fantasy developer, Square Enix. Now, players can get a peek at the highly-anticipated game as Kingdom Hearts 3 will be playable at the X018 event in Mexico City on November 10th.
Given that Square Enix has not announced early access for the game, it is exciting to know that players around Mexico City will be able to experience a hands-on demo of Kingdom Hearts 3. The latest entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise was initially announced a few years ago and was fully revealed at E3 2018.
The game will see the continuation of the adventure of series protagonist, Sora, together with Donald Duck and Goofy as they embark on several quests while exploring the magical worlds of Disney and Pixar. Square Enix has previously confirmed the presence of several worlds, which will include Frozen, Tangled, Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Monsters Inc., and several others.
Just last week the latest issue of V-Jump Magazine in Japan leaked some extra information concerning the Hercules world in Kingdom Hearts 3. Although this world has made appearances in previous Kingdom Hearts games and was even one of the first to be confirmed in Kingdom Hearts 3, the magazine reported that players will be able to embark on an adventure in the city of Thebes and climb the iconic Mount Olympus, where several gods and goddesses reside.
Now, regarding the platforms Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released to, Square Enix has previously confirmed that the game will be launched on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although no confirmation has been made by the developer, a YouTuber claimed that a source close to Square Enix revealed that the studio may release Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Nintendo Switch. Of course, this piece of information must be taken with a grain of salt, but reports claim that Square Enix is “deeply interested” in the prospect, and is trying to figure out whether releasing the game to the Switch would be worth the time.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will release on PS4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2019.
