Originally released for PC in 2015, Knight Squad - from developer Chainsawesome Games - has made its way to Nintendo Switch, bringing its chaotic multiplayer action to the portable console.

One of the most notable features of Knight Squad is its ability to allow up to eight players to play at once in the top-down, Bomberman-style arenas. This extends to the Nintendo Switch release, which also includes the game modes and characters that were released in the previously released Extra Chivalrous DLC, with modes such as Team Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing, Capture the Grail, Domination Soccer, and Juggernaut, just to name a few.

Knight Squad’s chaos is elevated by the fact that players can be taken out of the game with a single hit, which is a pretty easy thing happen given the number of weapons that are available at players’ disposal, such as swords, bow and arrows, horses, crossbows, bombs, and laser guns.

If anything, picking up Knight Squad on Switch could at least prepare you for the sequel, Knight Squad 2, which is slated to release later this year.

Knight Squad is available now for $14.99 on the Nintendo eShop, while a downloadable demo is also available for those who just want to try it out.
