Originally released in 2015 for Android and iOS devices as The School: White Day - and actually based off of a 2001 video game - White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a Korean survival horror game that was ported to PlayStation 4 and PC in 2017, bringing its school-based terror to a Western audience. For fans of the genre who may have missed it, you’re in luck. White Day: A Labyrinth Named School - Ultimate Horror Edition is now available, which includes all 41 costume DLCs released so far.
White Day: A Labyrinth Named School tells the story of Hee-Min Lee, a new student at Yeondu High School who sneaks into the school one night to put a surprise in the locker of his crush. Unfortunately, after entering, the doors lock behind him, leaving him to deal with and hide from crazed janitors and other supernatural entities hellbent on killing him, as he looks for ways to escape the demented school.
In all honesty, the Ultimate Edition might be best served for players looking to dial down the horror factors a bit, since some of the costumes are more humorous than anything else, such as beachwear or a snowman costume. And nothing says terror more than being chased by a janitor in a pink, heart-themed apron and chefs hat.
White Day: A Labyrinth Named School - Ultimate Horror Edition is currently on sale on the PlayStation Store, as well as Steam, and is the definitive version to snag for those interested in checking out the game
