Animal Crossing: New Horizons just got updated signaling the start of the new Nature Day event. With it came new characters and some new small surprises.

Update 1.2.0 finally brought old faces like Lief and Redd into the game. We now have a museum upgrade to look forward to and even a wedding event. But perhaps even more important than all of that are the changes made to the guitar!

Many Animal Crossing players have set up instruments and music players near their resident services. Villagers often sing or play the instruments there, which can make any player happy. However, many people noticed that they couldn’t fully jam alongside their animal friends because instruments like guitars would only play one note at a time. It was strange since things like the cello or even the ocarina could do longer notes. Luckily, this Reddit post let users know that guitars now play for as long as you hold down A.

The news was met with great response and discussion. Other users even noticed that each music player can now play their own tune instead of them all being linked. It’ll be interesting to see what little changes Animal Crossing brings next.
