The latest Warzone patch has finally taken down the .357 Snake Shot pistols.

Any Warzone player knows how ludicrously powerful the akimbo .357 revolvers can be, but especially so were ones loaded with Snake Shot. These dual revolvers could down basically any opponent with one double-tap at ranges that far exceeded any other secondary weapon and were even more powerful than many primary weapons.

So much so that Warzone players were getting a little tired of the Snake Shot revolvers’ power. Calls for a nerf have been ongoing for weeks, and it looks like Infinity Ward has finally taken notice.

Yesterday’s patch was small but significant. Along with a few bug and exploit fixes, Warzone’s Snake Shot meta is finally over. Damage has been rebalanced and range reduced (which was apparently a bug) so that a mere double-tap from these powerful pistols isn’t an immediate trip to the Gulag.

Players are now speculating that the dual Renettis might be next to replace the Snake Shot as they have similar range and knockdown power. We’ll have to see if videos like this start popping up in people’s social media feeds.
