There’s a new trailer for the upcoming Yo-kai Watch game that will let you get to know Yo-Kai Academy Y’s leaders.

Last month, we got to see how the typical day would progress in the upcoming Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y. You’ll play as a student, go to class, and take part in various school activities almost like a Persona game. Now, thanks to the new Japanese trailer, new details have been revealed that show Yo-Kai Academy Y is one crazy place.

For starters, the Academy is described more like a city unto itself with its own commerce and even lodging for staff and students. On top of that, there’s a student mafia and student police force that are always at odds with each other.

One might wonder why any student body would approve of an underground group of hooligans patrolling their halls. According to the trailer, the mafia is tolerated because “committing mistakes is also a way to learn.” Sure.

There are three major figures that control all aspects of life at Yo-kai Academy Y: the Student Council President, the Academy Director, and the Public Morals Committee Chairman. They’ll play central roles in your time at Yo-kai Academy, so you’d better be on their good side.

The trailer mentions that spirits called Yo-kai also haunt the Academy, but details on that will have to wait for the next trailer. Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y hits the Nintendo Switch in Japan later this month. No details on a North American release have been revealed as of yet.
