In pre-season 11, Riot Games added Mythic Items to League Of Legends in their highly anticipated item overhaul. These Mythic Items were introduced as class-specific items that provide an immediate power spike to their users, with the caveat being that champions are locked to purchasing a single Mythic Item over the course of the game. Mythic Items also provide their users with a passive that scales with subsequently purchased items.

Some mythic passives, such as Liandry’s Torment, provide Ability Haste to their users, while others, like Divine Sunderer, provide Magic and Armor Penetration. These newly introduced items have shaken up the meta, enabling champions like Udyr and Taliyah to rise from the ashes. This list will go over the best Mythic Items introduced in Season 11 and explore what makes them stand out amongst the pack.

All statistical information provided in this article was obtained from the League Of Legends Patch Notes website, as well as, the in-game client’s item set tab.

10 Hextech Rocketbelt

Hextech Rocketbelt might just be the most overlooked ability-power-centric Mythic Item added in Season 11. It is evident from solo queue and professional play that many players prefer the upfront burst damage Hextech Rocketbelt’s counterpart, Night Harvester, outputs. However, over the course of the game, Hextech Rocketbelt enables a more flexible playstyle due to its built-in mobility, whilst providing similar burst capabilities as the game goes on thanks to its Magic Penetration granting passive.

Champions such as Gragas and Rumble benefit from building Hextech Rocketbelt more so than Night Harvester in most cases, simply because it synergizes with their kits better. The only time when Night Harvester should be considered is if the enemy team has five extremely squishy targets and lacks Tanks or Bruisers defending their back line carries.

9 Trinity Force

Trinity Force has been shrouded in controversy for much of Season 11. Until very recently the item has been extremely lackluster with only a small, minute handful of champions such as Camille purchasing the item. In patch 11.7, everything changed when Riot Games decided to give Trinity Force a new mythic passive granting 3 Attack Damage, 3 Movement Speed, and 3 Ability Haste for every Legendary Item in the player’s inventory.

The biggest change however, was that one Trinity Force’s passives, Threefold Strike, now stacks on towers. Threefold Strike grants movement speed and base attack damage increases, depending on the target being attacked. This extremely huge buff opened the vault for underplayed split pushers such as Irelia and Jax to become viable again while providing further buffs to already powerful champions, such as Gangplank and Camille.

8 Everfrost

Much like Trinity Force, Everfrost was in a horrible state at the beginning of Season 11. However, in patch 11.4 in February, Riot Games buffed Everfrost via changing the build path, adding more components and giving it more damage on its active. When activated, Everfrost shoots out a cone of damage, slowing all enemies hit and rooting champions caught in the center.

Everfrost is utilized best by champions that can follow up its activated ability with additional crowd control such as Twisted Fate, Sylas, Kassadin, and Morgana. Everfrost, when utilized correctly, can be absolutely game-changing, enabling Mages and Assassin champions to set up kills on squishy targets with relative ease.

7 Stridebreaker

Already a strong item at the beginning of the season, Stridebreaker was “changed” in patch 11.5, taking away some upfront damage while increasing its dash range. This small change tipped Stridebreaker over the edge, turning it into one of the best Mythic Items for Juggernaut champions such as Aatrox, Sett, and Urgot.

Upon activation, Stridebreaker launches the champion forward and unleashes an area of effect “slash,” damaging and slowing all enemy champions hit. This item is amazing because it gives Juggernaut champions utility and further enhances their engagement potential. Urgot essentially has two dashes after Stridebreaker is completed, allowing him to cover a lot of ground when looking to start or join a team fight.

6 Locket Of The Iron Solari

Locket Of The Iron Solari is one of the best one item spikes in the game currently and makes dealing with engage supports like Nautilus, Alistar, and Galio incredibly hard to deal with due to its active and mythic passive. When activated, Locket Of The Iron Solari gives all allied champions in range a damage-absorbing shield that decays over time. Alongside this, it consecrates allied champions in range, boosting their armor and magic resistances.

Lastly, Locket Of The Iron Solari’s mythic passive grants two additional resistances to “Consecrate,” further buffing allied champions as Legendary Items are completed. Locket of the Iron Solari is incredibly obnoxious on champions like Galio because his ultimate, Hero’s Entrance, grants an area of effect magic damage shield which can be stacked with Locket Of The Iron Solari’s activated shield.

5 Immortal Shieldbow

Although Immortal Shieldbow was much stronger earlier into the season, it is still an absolutely savage Mythic Item that enables Marksman champions, and some Duelists such as Yasuo and Irelia, to take on a slew of different play styles depending on the situation. At times, it enables these champions to play more aggressively when they are ahead due to its shielding. Immortal Shieldbow also affords these champions more survivability when playing from behind.

Upon taking near-lethal damage, Immortal Shieldbow’s passive activates, granting a shield and a burst of attack damage to its user. This allows for the champion to utilize the item to either escape the situation or outplay their opponent due to the unexpected shield and additional damage. Immortal Shieldbow’s mythic passive grants 50 health and five attack damage for every other Legendary Item in the player’s inventory.

4 Galeforce

For the most part, all of the newly introduced Marksman items were much stronger at the beginning of the season and have since been adjusted or nerfed, with Galeforce being no exception. Even after being balanced, Galeforce is still an incredibly strong Mythic Item in certain situations and is best utilized by burst-damage-centric Marksman champions such as Jhin and Kai’sa, although Kraken Slayer is arguably better on the latter.

Upon activating Galeforce, the champion dashes in the desired direction, dealing damage to the enemy champion with the lowest health in range. The damage scales with missing health. This active ability is amazing for Marksman champions for a couple of reasons, the first being that it provides Marksman champions with an “escape” and mobility tool while secondly adding to their overall damage output.

3 Shurelya’s Battlesong

Shurelya’s Battlesong might be the most overlooked Mythic Item currently in the game while being one of the strongest. For the measly sum, of 2500 gold, Shurelya’s Battlesong grants 40 Ability Power, 20 Ability Haste, 200 Health, and 100% Base Mana Regeneration. Although those stats might seem somewhat underwhelming at an initial glance, Shurelya’s Battlesong truly shines in its active ability and mythic passive.

Upon activating Shurelya’s Battlesong, ally champions become “inspired,” gaining a burst of decaying movement speed. The item’s second passive, Motivate, grants allies additional movement speed after being shielded or healed by the champion. This item turns the already incredibly strong champion, Lulu, into a complete toolbox, allowing her to deal damage, control the crowd, buff movement speed, shield, and grant non-permanent additional health.

2 Moonstone Renewer

Moonstone Renewer has been a must-buy Enchanter item since it rose to prominence in early season 11, and although the item has since been adjusted, it remains one of the best Mythics currently in the game. Its passive ability Starlit Grace heals the most wounded allied champion in range as the player inflicts damage with auto attacks and abilities scaling up to and capping at 20% increased effectiveness as the fight goes on. For every other Legendary Item in the player’s inventory, the health from Starlit Grace is increased by 10.

Moonstone Renewer is strongest on champions such as Ivern, Karma, and Lulu who do an unprecedented amount of damage in team fights for being enchanter champions. The item can also be built alongside Staff of Flowing Water, which buffs allied champions’ movement speed and ability power ratios after being healed, allowing for a constant stream of stats to ripple through allied champions. This allows picks, such as Udyr and Volibear, to become even stronger when standing around a champion utilizing the Moonstaff item combo.

1 Kraken Slayer

Kraken Slayer is the best Marksman Mythic Item introduced this season. Kraken Slayer turns Marksman champions into absolute Tank busters once completed. Kraken Slayer’s passive Bring It Down deals additional damage every third auto attack while its Mythic Passive grants an additional 10% attack speed for every other Legendary Item built.

Kraken Slayer allows Marksman champions to stand a chance in front-to-back team fights and absolutely tear through Tanks accompanied by Lord Dominik’s Regards. Kraken Slayer is utilized by almost every Marksman champion currently in the game, with the only exception being Jhin. It is without a doubt one of the best additions to the item roster in season 11 and gives Marksman players a strong tool they were missing in prior seasons.
