League of Legends has been adding new champions to the game every so often. With the latest PBE patch, Riot Games has introduced new hints to the next champion, and leaks have already been released that give fans insight into her abilities.
With the new champion Lilia finally introduced into the game, fans are excited to see what new character they will able to play as next in League of Legends. In Patch 10.16, players found mentions of a new character named “Samira” throughout the PBE, though fans were originally unsure of who she was. However, the references to the new character along with leaks and rumors of a new champion, it appears that an ADC champion will be joining the game’s lineup sooner than many fans expected.
According to the June update that Riot Games released, the company said that the 151st champion would be an ADC character coming out sometime during Season 10 of the game. However, new leaks have come to light that show more of the character, hinting that the champion may be released as early as Patch 10.18.
The new insider information comes to fans courtesy of Streamie, a Brazilian content creator that previously leaked the champion Yone a month before he was officially brought to the public’s attention. She claims to have a friend at Riot Games who has been leaking her this information ahead of the official announcements. Due to Streamie’s past track record, her newest leaks have more credibility. Reddit user Jepeseta compiled the leaks into a single post here.
According to Streamie, Samira will be a Noxian ADC with abilities much like other champions that are already playable in League of Legends. If the leaks are correct, her various moves are inspired by Katarina’s ultimate, Irelia’s W, Urgot’s W, and Nunu & Willump’s ultimate. These leaks also suggest that Samira will be similar to Aphelios, but instead of switching between multiple guns, she will alternate between a gun and a dagger. Her ultimate attack will be a barrage of bullets from a machine gun or a flurry of multiple daggers and will be capped by a “style meter,” which influences how many enemy champions can be hit by the move at once.
Streamie says that Samira is set for a “two week release” which means that the new champion may be coming to Summoner’s Rift right before the League of Legends World Championship Series begins. While fans may need to wait until Season 10 to see Samira in the competitive scene, she may be playable much sooner than that.
