A major aspect of Lego City: Undercover is the ability to switch to the best disguises on a whim, as well as use a Disguise Booth to choose which ones you have set. Unfortunately, you do have to unlock them before they can be used, but you never know which disguise you are after when completing tasks. The Civilian disguises are the most interesting and plentiful of the lot as they have more wide-reaching focuses, although the others have their own special flair.
Chase McCain deserves to look his best in every situation, which is why certain disguises should be at the top of your list. Some are trickier than others to acquire in Lego City: Undercover, although the effort it takes to acquire them is well worth the struggle.
10 Traffic Cop
The Traffic Cop is a staple on any police force, and this disguise comes equipped with a helmet, aviators, and a classic tan uniform shirt. He even makes the same hand motions as if he is waving on traffic or telling other cars to stop.
There are three traffic lights in Downtown Lego City that are missing their color, and by painting them yellow you can unlock this disguise.
9 Space Alien
The Space Alien is one of the Astronaut disguises, and it is as creepy as it is interesting. The way the tongue sticks out of its mouth is unnatural, especially when combined with his green skin.
If you want to unlock this character you need to find all 17 boxes that can be unlocked with an Astronaut disguise. It will release an alien who you have to catch and the downside is that these boxes are not restricted to any select area of Lego City.
8 Tow Truck Driver
If you head to Auburn, then you have a chance to unlock the Tow Truck Driver disguise, with his bright blue jumpsuit and abundance of facial hair. If you head down to the docks you will see a timer in front of a maze of cargo containers, which is one of the reasons this is one of Lego’s best open-world games.
You will need to collect all of the studs within the time limit in order to unlock this disguise that you can pair with one of the best vehicles in the game.
7 Elf
The Elf disguise can be unlocked in Bluebell National Park, and it is perfect for fans of The Lord of the Rings. The intricate design of his outfit combines with the pointed ears make him a truly unique specimen.
All you have to do is find three trees in the area and break them, then rebuild their pieces into birdhouses. They can all be found up near the train station so smash the trees in this location in order to find it.
6 Forest Fireman
The Forest Fireman is the coolest of all the fireman designs, and helped its high ranking on Metacritic, as it is unique with the helmet, glasses, and more versatile uniform. There are 17 barbecue fires across Lego City in all different areas and you have to put them all out in order to unlock this amazing disguise.
Luckily, they also come with gold bricks so it is worth the time even if you don’t desire to add this character to your lineup.
5 Carlo Cone
One of the Robber disguises is called Carlo Cone, and it features Chase McCain with a literal cone on top of his head. Players often wonder how he can see, but its oddity is a major part of its appeal.
If you head to Crescent Park you will see some silver balloons near a gazebo, and painting them red and yellow will grant you this character token.
4 Lizard Man
The Lizard Man’s animations make him look as if he is walking as this monster would if he was stomping through a city. The bright green of it makes it pop and players love the tale that he drags behind him.
You will need to find the Lego store in Bright Lights Plaza, and bring along a stick of dynamite to open the doors. Once inside, you need to destroy the three boxes depicting Lego creations, which were probably quite expensive, and then rebuild them with the bricks it gives you to unlock this disguise.
3 Brantford Cubbery
If you prefer your astronaut without a spacesuit, then you should consider finding the Brantford Cubbery disguise on Apollo Island. He comes with glasses and a pair of suspenders that show why he was invited into the space program in the first place.
Luckily, he is pretty easy to acquire as simply building the Disguise Booth at the docks in this location will add his character token to your inventory.
2 Farm Worker Bill
Farm Worker Bill loves to dance, although isn’t a fan of shirts underneath his overalls. He is identifiable by his red hat and he is one of the Farmer disguises you can unlock.
You can obtain him by heading to Fort Meadows and using your jetpack to jump onto a cabin roof, then you must cross a tightrope to retrieve his token.
1 Deep Sea Diver
The Deep Sea Diver loves to adjust his oxygen levels and it is the perfect skin to have if you enjoy capsizing your boat when in the harbor. It is the same skin as the one in Lego Worlds, but players adore the blue color of his suit.
You can find him in Festival Square by building the Deep Sea Spin Super Build as this will be your reward, and it is one thing that makes Lego City: Undercover worth your time.
