As part of the MAR10 Day deals, the popular LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Mario Starter Course set has reportedly gone on sale across multiple websites, marking an all-time low cost for the set. The Starter Course set was released in August 2020 and LEGO has since released a ton of pricey expansions to go with it.
LEGO Super Mario Guarded Fortress Expansion Set 71362 - Now $39.99 (Reg. Price $49.99)
LEGO Super Mario Mario’s House & Yoshi Expansion Set 71367 - Now $23.99 (Reg. Price $29.99)
LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set 71365 - Now $23.72 (Reg. Price $29.99)
LEGO Super Mario Desert Pokey Expansion Set 71363 - Now $15.90 (Reg. Price $19.99)
Other websites like 9to5Toys.com are also offering 35% discounts on other selected Mario paraphernalia, tying in nicely with the ongoing 35th Anniversary celebrations which will be ending on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
Mario Day isn’t officially until March 10, but that hasn’t stopped sites dishing out the discounts early. Incidentally, it was Mario Day last year when the partnership between LEGO and Nintendo was announced and since then, over twenty sets and expansion sets have been released.
It’s probably a good idea to snag these sets up while you can. Historically, LEGO sets are really good at retaining their value, with some discontinued sets like the LEGO Death Star II fetching well over $1,000. With Mario being one of the most recognizable IPs in the world, these sets are definitely ones to watch.
