Update: Alinity has officially been suspended from Twitch.
Alinity flashed the nipple seen around the world on stream yesterday, and while most of the discourse is centered around Twitch’s unfair and inconsistent policies, a contingent of people on Reddit and Twitter seem to only want to talk about her actual nipple, and that’s pretty wack.
Alinity is the villain of Twitch more than any other streamer. Plenty of people have had their controversies over the years, but no one — not Dr Disrespect, not Boogie, not even Amouranth can compete for the title of most hated streamer on Twitch. Alinity has become a symbol of all the problems in Twitch’s rule enforcement and the perceived corruption among Twitch staff. Every time Alinity breaks a rule but isn’t held accountable (which is often) it furthers the common narrative that Twitch protects attractive women from repercussions because they bring in a lot of profits and/or Twitch staff is a bunch of Alinity simps.
Yesterday’s nip slip reignited the age-old complaints about Twitch’s policies and rule enforcement. Alinity’s Twitch account is still active, meaning she has not yet been banned or suspended. Twitch has a 0 tolerance policy when it comes to full or partial nudity, even going so far as to ban nude drawings. In September, Amouranth was banned for 3 days after uncrossing her legs and giving her audience a full-on Basic Instinct. Alinity has once again somehow completely avoided repercussions for breaking the rules, and people are quite upset about it.
