After Levi’s announced a delay for its Mario collaboration, the collection has returned on course and is launching today. Nintendo’s partnership with Levi’s is only the first thing arriving for the 35th anniversary of Super Mario. The LEGO set is coming in August, and reports are stating the Nintendo Switch is receiving remasters for some of the biggest Mario titles. The year 2020 is looking to be a big one for the world’s most popular video game characters. Fans can outwardly show their appreciation for the franchise with new, official apparel.
Levi’s originally announced its collaboration with Nintendo last month. The delay later for North and South America came as a disappointment for fans, but it would be short-lived. In a press release, the company showcased some of the collection. In addition to the apparel, Levi’s states there are also tote bags, billfolds, and more.
Levi’s being a notable named brand, fans shouldn’t be expecting inexpensive prices on the apparel. Levi’s isn’t the only clothing company celebrating 35 years of Super Mario, either - Uniqlo is also launching a Mario-themed collection.
With social distancing, fans are not going to be able to show off their Mario apparel to the fullest extent. However, when things return to a sense of normalcy, it will be time to break out the attire. It’s a big year for Mario, and it begins with clothing.
