Logitech will release a wireless version of its 2019 Pro X Gaming Headset. The new model, known as the Pro X Lightspeed, will include the aluminum and steel design of the wired version but add USB-C charging, which can be found in other gaming headsets like Audeze’s Penrose and Corsair’s Virtuoso Wireless.

Logitech, which claims the wireless headset will stay connected up to 42 feet away from a PC or gaming console, will feature the same set of comfy velour-covered foam earpads that can be placed over the preinstalled leather-like pads as well as a 2.4GHz USB Type-A wireless receiver for audio and chat. The headset also boasts over 20 hours of battery life.

The Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed Gaming Headset also comes with a microphone mute button, volume knob, power switch, USB-C charging port, a LED charging indicator on the left ear cup, and next-generation DTS 7.1 surround sound. The patented BLUE VO!CE microphone technology features a selection of real-time voice filters to reduce noise, add compression and desibilizing for a richer, cleaner sound.

Part of the brand’s pro series, The Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed Gaming Headset joins the Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse, which has been designed to deliver greater speed and accuracy to the esports professionals, and the Pro Keyboard, which features advanced GX Clicky mechanical switches that are designed for improved performance and responsiveness, with an audible and tactile feedback bump.

TechRadar, which reviewed the Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed Gaming Headset, considered it to be one of the best gaming headsets currently on the market right and praised its sound and build quality, comfort, USB-C charging and low latency. However, compared to the $199 Steelseries Arctis 9X and the $199 Razer Nari Ultimate, which include more extensive features, the site thought the new Logitech gaming headset was overpriced. It also criticized its rather weak microphone.

The Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed Gaming Headset is available for preorder for $199.99 at the Logitech website.
