Captain Price might be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer modes as a new operator.

There are few modern video game characters more iconic than Captain John Price. He’s been the star of the single-player campaigns since the original Modern Warfare and he’s basically like Batman, only armed to the teeth and without any hesitation when it comes to wholesale murder.

He’s already in the reboot Modern Warfare’s campaign as an NPC, and so it comes as no surprise that Infinity Ward is going to place him in Call of Duty: Warzone as a new operator.

A recent teaser dropped on YouTube from the official Call of Duty account that calls itself “secure comms link.” In it, we find ourselves a teaser for the start of Season 4 of Modern Warfare with Al-Asad and Victor Zakhaev, the two biggest bads in Call of Duty history. They seem very concerned about a new operator in town, although they only have a crappy photo to go on.

“They’re enlisting the help of a senior operator. I have only one picture of this man, but the quality is poor,” says Al-Asad. He doesn’t name Price, but he does call the person in the photo “an old friend” and “a big [problem].”

It doesn’t take a neurosurgeon to figure out that the mutton chops and the safari hat are clear indications that Price is back in town. And why not Price? He’s already in Modern Warfare, so it’s just a few more keystrokes to turn him into an operator for multiplayer. He’s been in pretty much every Call of Duty game, including Modern Warfares 1 through 3, the new reboot of Modern Warfare, Black Ops 4, Call of Duty: Mobile, and more.

With that kind of library, there will be plenty of skins for Infinity Ward to choose from when it comes time to give Price a makeover.

Expect more info as Season 3 of Modern Warfare comes to a close and we arrive at Season 4.
