Slap on your deerstalker cap and groom your tentacles, horror-comedy visual novel The Innsmouth Case is coming soon to PC and mobile.
Young Tabitha Marsh has gone missing in the remote fishing village of Innsmouth and it’s up to you, unfortunately, to crack the case. Inspired by the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft, The Innsmouth Case is taking a unique approach to the genre by injecting some levity and humor into the standard doom and gloom. The game’s trailer conveys the sort of tone and humor you can expect from The Innsmouth Case.
It’s a unique genre and style for a theme so thoroughly explored already in gaming and pop culture, so we’re hopeful this fresh take will be able to breathe some new life into Cthulhu and his brand of existential horror.
The Innsmouth Case comes from Assemble Entertainment, a German video game publisher known the Leisure Suit Larry series of raunchy point-and-click adventure games, including the most recent entry Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry. The Innsmouth Case will be the first game from the developers, Robot Pumpkin Games.
The Innsmouth Case is coming to Steam, iOS, and Android on June 23, 2020. Learn more about the game on the official Assemble Entertainment Discord server.
