Spanish esports brand MAD Lions is partnering up with Crown Esports Nutrition as their official nutritional supplement provider.

Sports nutrition is nothing new. Protein bars, mixes, drinks, and various chemical formulas that will both help rejuvenate and energize your body are all cornerstones of a multi-billion dollar industry. Esports nutrition, on the other hand, is relatively new and somewhat less defined.

Which is to say they’re mostly just fancy energy drinks with slogans that say you’ll be able to “game all night.” I prefer sleeping before dawn, but that’s just me.

MAD Lions, the Spanish esports brand that’s still trying to replace it’s fifth CS:GO player, has decided to partner up with equally Spanish nutrition label Crown Esports Nutrition. A division of Crown Sports Nutrition, Crown Esports Nutrition’s signature product is Game Booster, a tasteless energy-boosting drink mix containing caffeine, taurine, theanine, and other amino acids.

“We are excited to be working with Crown Esports Nutrition, a brand that prioritizes scientific research and evidence in its products,” said MAD Lions co-owner Samuel de Luque in a prepared statement. “We want to bring that knowledge they have and transfer it to the world of esports.”

Well, so far the best nutrition for gamers is just a generally healthy diet, but a little caffeine can’t hurt I guess.
