Now that The Match: Champions for Charity has somewhat satiated sports fans’ desire for some sort of semblance of an organized sporting event, it’s only a matter of time before the need arises again. Luckily, for Madden fans, they’ll get to whet their appetites again next week.
On June 1st, we’ll have our first look at this year’s release of Madden NFL 21, finally getting a peek behind the curtain for what’s in store for NFL fans in the annual release.
In a tweet, the Madden NFL Twitter account shared an image that noted the first round of Madden news will be shown off, but didn’t provide details as to what time or where to find it.
We already know that Lamar Jackson will be this year’s cover athlete, but nothing else was revealed in the tease. It’s hard to imagine that this year’s iteration of the longstanding Madden franchise will bring anything mind-blowingly new or different from years past.
Last year’s Madden was one of the best versions in recent memory, so as long as this year’s game doesn’t falter on what it did well, it should be another solid edition with even more impressive graphics coming on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
