The first official reveal trailer for Madden NFL 21 was posted today, giving NFL fans insight into what this year’s edition of the annual release has to offer.

We also learned that Madden 21 will be released on August 28, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-orders for the game are available now. Players who purchase the MVP Edition will also get access to Madden 21 three days early, beginning August 25th..

For those already planning on buying a next-gen console in the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X (or both!), rest assured that you need not be concerned about buying this year’s game twice. EA Sports has already confirmed that players who purchase the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One digital versions of Madden 21 will receive a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X version. Just be sure to snag the digital edition, as physical discs will likely be excluded from the offer.

Obviously, we won’t know when exactly the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game will be released until we know exactly when the consoles themselves become available. That said, players can certainly expect crisp graphics upgrades given the technical prowess of the next-gen consoles.
