While the traditional NFL off-season has been far different than anything fans have seen in the history of the league, Madden players will get a slight return to some sense of normalcy next week.

A post from the official Madden NFL Twitter account revealed today that on Tuesday, June 16th at 11 AM EST, the first official reveal trailer for Madden NFL 21 will premiere on YouTube.

This first-look had originally been planned for June 1st, but was postponed in a show of solidarity with those protesting the murder of George Floyd and systemic racism, including the leagues athletes.

We’ve already seen a brief glimpse of Madden NFL 21 when Xbox Series X footage was shown off during last month’s Inside Xbox, and, though the graphics looked stellar on Xbox’s next-gen console, there was nothing of real note to get Madden fans very excited.

Comments on the YouTube page are pretty unsurprising, with some asking for specific additional or expanded game modes, and others unenthusiastically saying that Madden 21 will be no different than last year’s game. It will be interesting to see what EA Sports brings to the table in this interaction of the longstanding franchise, which will hopefully build on the success of last year’s Madden 20.
