The Golf Adventure mode in Mario Golf: Super Rush takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete, which includes all of the medal-earning events and boss battles across five golf courses. It is a rather straightforward adventure that has a nice challenge to it overall, but it’s also something that may only take a day or two.

Because of this, those that enjoy the game may feel disappointed at the adventure mode length and feel like there is not much more to accomplish. Luckily, there is plenty of Mario Golf content to take in to make sure you continue your time on the fairway.

10 Do Some Side Challenges

Early on, players will talk to a few Hammer Bros that will teach them the basics of golf. What the game doesn’t explicitly point out is that this is available at almost every course in the game. These characters are located in a side practice area for each course. Along with the Hammer Bros, there are also Fire Bros that will take some of these tutorials and increase the difficulty to give players a real challenge. Successfully completing a tutorial or challenge will earn the player experience points that can go to leveling up your Mii.

9 Keep Replaying Specific Rounds

The biggest reason to keep playing the game is to improve on past performances. It is likely that the first time successfully completing the XC Golf, for example, was not a perfect run. Luckily, the game allows you to replay those rounds. If players go up to the left of the two blue toads that stand together at every golf course, they will be able to sign-up for any of the previous rounds they’ve already completed. Of course, there is no grand reward for beating a previous high score, but it does continue to add more experience points to your Mii.

8 Test Your Mii Against Others

Players spend the entire adventure mode improving their Mii’s statistics and getting used to playing as them over time. So, why just leave that behind in the adventure mode? There are many modes where players are able to choose their Mii as part of the competition.

The best thing that could be done is to play with other people who have leveled up their Mii and see how everyone’s in-game avatar stacks up. If players did a lot in the adventure mode, there is a good chance their Mii is more powerful than all of the other characters in the game.

7 Give Other Characters A Shot

Speaking of spending a lot of time using the Mii character, those who have strictly played the adventure mode have missed out on trying the 16 other characters that are available to play in the game at the moment. While the chance of these characters being a downgrade from the Mii is there, this will give the player an opportunity to see who they may like to main in case there is a strict “no Miis” rule in place. Plus, each character has a vastly different Special Shot that is worth experimenting with as they each are themed to the character that uses them.

6 Experience Regular Golf

While the adventure mode tackles the game of golf from various different approaches, it’s fair to say that it doesn’t give players a true golf experience. Luckily, players can do so when going to play regular golf on the menu. Players can choose how many holes they would like to shoot and also whether, if other people are playing, they all go at once or take turns. By beating the adventure mode, players would unlock all of the courses that they need to access all of the game. These courses may also have a different feel to them compared to how they are in adventure mode.

5 Play Speed Golf With Friends

Alongside the regular golf mode, there is also the Speed Golf mode that can be experienced with other real-life players or with computer players like Golf Adventure had. Players can choose two different approaches to the game. One is a point-based system where placement at the end of each hole decides how many points an individual gets, and the highest score at the end of the game wins. The other approach is having each person be timed for their round and the person with the fastest time wins the match.

4 Try Out Battle Golf

One of the rewards after beating adventure mode is the ability to play as your Mii in Battle Golf. However, Battle Golf can be played with any character and is a much different game than Golf Adventure players are used to.

The objective of the game is to hit the golf ball into three of the nine holes available before anyone else does. Options for the game include a Strategic layout of the arena and a Technical layout of the arena, depending on what kind of shots players want to try to make. There is also an option to turn on and off rush events.

3 Challenge Yourself In Two Solo Modes

One of the least talked about features in the game is the Solo Challenges, which can be accessed from the right side of the menu. There are two different types of challenges: Score Attack and Time Attack. Score Attack is very much like a regular round of golf as the main objective is to get the lowest score over 18 holes. Time Attack shifts the focus where players need to complete the 18 holes in the lowest amount of time, so score doesn’t as much matter. Players can then keep track of how well they do in the Play Stats section of the menu.

2 Boot Up Other Mario Golf Games

Now, let’s say you’ve done everything in Mario Golf: Super Rush you can possibly do. If players have the time and the resources to do so, another thing players can do after beating the game is trying out other Mario Golf games in the franchise. If you have a 3DS, players should try out the predecessor Mario Golf: World Tour. The game does not have an adventure mode, but it also has a lot more courses and online tournament play. There are also four other entries in the franchise, including a couple with much deeper adventure modes.

1 Look Forward To DLC

Of course, the lack of other things to do in Mario Golf: Super Rush may not last very long. Nintendo announced during their most recent Direct that they are working on more DLC for the game, with an expected release timeline of 2021. However, they did show that one of the courses they plan on adding is New Donk City, a level from Super Mario Odyssey. It is unclear if DLC would also include new characters, but it is something to keep an eye on.
