The Ninja Tour has officially begun in Mario Kart Tour, adding new karts, gliders, and the new Ninja Hideaway track. There’s also a “Snap a Photo” challenge running on Twitter that will provide all players with coins based on the community’s participation.

To join in on the “Snap a Photo” fun, you’ll need to take a Ninja-themed screenshot in Auto Mode or in Snap a Photo and share it on Twitter with the hashtag #NinjaHideaway. On April 16, all players will then be given 20 coins for each related post.

Mario Kart Tour’s big addition with the Ninja Tour is without a doubt the Ninja Hideaway track – which sees you drifting your way through a booby-trapped dojo. There are also a couple of shortcuts you’ll want to scout out if you’re hoping to claim first place.

Mario Kart Tour might not be getting the same attention it did when it launched over a year ago, but Nintendo has been quietly patching the game on a regular basis. From new multiplayer modes and tracks to simple patches and bug fixes, Tour is a much better game now than it was at launch.

In other Mario Kart news, the Rainbow Road Hot Wheels set recently opened its pre-orders. Nintendo and Hot Wheels have partnered to create a pretty slick race track – complete with wavy rainbow sections and a few Mario-themed karts.

The Ninja Tour is now available in Mario Kart Tour, bringing with it the challenging new Ninja Hideaway course.
