Rev your engines and get ready for the next Mario Kart Tour special tournament, the Exploration Tour!
Mario Kart Tour is a mobile version of the Mario Kart franchise we all know and love. The mobile game features courses from classic Mario Kart games past as well as a few real-life locations, big cities like Paris and New York. Mario Kart Tour also has a point-based system to it, so it’s not just about coming in first it’s also about how your aim is and how spiteful a player you are. Maybe the most prominent feature of Mario Kart Tour is the biweekly tours that have a theme. The Mario Kart Tour challenges are comprised of three courses and a special bonus challenge all under one theme and that theme could be anything from a color to a course style.
The upcoming tour for the mobile game is the Exploration Tour, which will also feature a classic course that will be new to Mario Kart Tour players. The Exploration Tour will debut the release of Choco Mountain, a course from Mario Kart for the Nintendo 64. This tour will feature courses that are heavy on the spirit of adventure and exploration, so expect lots of rickety bridges, spelunking, and probably some bats. Captains Toad and Toadette will be heavily featured in this tour—which makes the most sense because they are the only ones with actual fieldwork or the proper accouterment to be doing any kind of underground exploration safely. Captain Toad and Toadette are finally getting their moment in the spotlight, or more accurately, the headlamp light.
Following on the heels of the Marine Tour, the Exploration Tour is keeping the summer feelings alive and well. The only thing that might say summer more than fun in the sun is an ill-advised adventure—and what’s more ill-advised than speeding through a cave with weaponized turtle shells and banana peels? The Exploration Tour will only be around for a short time so hop in your cart and get ready to spelunk your way to the crown.
