If there’s one thing the Marvel films have taught us, its that they love their Easter Eggs and references, which has carried over into nearly all their video games. With Marvel’s biggest crossover being the Avengers, it only makes sense that a new game called Marvel’s Avengers would be crammed full of Easter Eggs and reference. The game is still only out in a beta form, so we expect the number and variety of Easter Eggs to grow when the full game is released. Still, the devs managed to hide some fun secrets to discover until then, including one that isn’t related to comics at all. Check out this guide so you can find them all before the beta ends.
Thor’s Mug
During the story mission To Find Olympia, you can access a secret area within one of the old Avengers buildings as part of the main story mission. Inside are several display cases, one of which holds a huge metal tankard with Norse carvings on it.
The First Stark Gold
Also in the same Avengers building as you found Thor’s Mug in during To Find Olympia, another display case holds what is labelled “The First Stark Gold.” There’s not really any context given to what this is exactly, and Kamala’s comments don’t shed any light on it either. It is speculated that it has something to do with Iron Man’s Model 01 V3 suit in the comic books. This specific armor isn’t available in the beta, but could perhaps be hinting at its inclusion either in the full game or as possible DLC.
Tony Stark’s Guitar
Yet again in the treasure trove that is the Avengers building found in To Find Olympia, we can come across one of Tony’s guitars behind glass. Kamala can interact with it, remarking on how Pepper Potts once bought Tony a guitar. Playing as Iron Man in the beta will make it clear how much of a rock fan he is, making this a fitting object for him to display.
Captain America’s Original Shield
Guess where this next Easter Egg is? That’s right, the same old Avengers building in To Find Olympia. This one is hard to miss considering how iconic Captain America’s first shield is. Considering he was using it back in World War II, it looks like it’s in great condition.
Avengers’ West Coast Office
Our final stop while in the old Avengers building is a scale model of the Avengers’ West Coast Office tucked away in a corner of the room. This one may go over some people’s heads if they’re not overly familiar with The Avengers comics, but the tower being a close resemblance of the one featured in the films makes it a little easier to notice.
The Daily Bugle
As you explore the Avengers Chimera helicarrier, head down to where the HARM Challenge room is and stop by a TV hung up on the wall. On it you can watch a little clip from Daily Bugle Live, which is of course the newspaper Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, works for as a photographer. Unfortunately J. Jonah Jameson, the outlets owner we all love to hate, is not seen here.
Bruce Banner’s Quarters
Also on the Chimera, you can find that all the Avengers have their own personal rooms. Each door has an iconic logo to indicate which room belongs to which hero, but only one room can be explored, at least during the beta, and that’s Bruce Banner’s, aka The Hulk. Hopefully the full game opens up all of the Avengers rooms to explore.
Cheap Thrills
The one non-Marvel related Easter Egg can be found in Kamala’s quarters while on the Chimera. There are a couple items around you can mess with, including her personal laptop. By default it will be playing a rock song, but after interacting with it Kamala will turn on Cheap Thrills by Sia. You can listen to the song in its entirety if you want, which is a somewhat odd secret to have, but is a nice touch to help define what kind of character Kamala is.
