Bobby Tahouri will lend his talents to Marvel’s Avengers as the main composer for the game’s soundtrack. While his name may not ring loud within the industry, he has certainly proven himself a genius in soundscapes with a resume that includes video games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark.

Of major note, however, is Tahouri’s early work as an additional music composer on the very first Iron Man, not to mention a composer credit on several episodes of Game of Thrones. It’s a safe bet to assume that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are among well-attuned hands in the music department, given the fact that each one has their own killer playlist.

In order to make a single playlist for each individual superhero present in Marvel’s Avengers, Tahouri first started at their musical preferences then built upon that by testing certain similar melodies. These curated playlists were then born and bred from real-world music, much akin to how any gamer may wonder what would The Witcher’s Dandelion listen to? Only, Tahouri took this a step further and even crafted sounds to match these very songs.

Tahouri tells Variety his favorite score was for the electric guitar and bass-infused Iron Man: “I especially enjoyed coming up with his palette of various guitars and bass tones to match his confidence and swagger.” For Mrs. Marvel, however, it’s more so about basing the melodies off of the right artist, as Tahouri decided to toss away the likes of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry in favor of a more electronic-sounding Lorde-based playlist.

But, not every hero even listens to music in the same way. Case in point: the dual minds of Bruce Banner and the Hulk. While the former may prefer, in the mind of Tahouri, more classical music, like that of Bach, the latter is more so inclined to play better with the sounds of percussion and bombastic brass tones overlaying Hulk-out sequences. As for other characters, like Thor and Black Widow, fans will just have to wait and hear for themselves following Mondo’s release of the soundtrack.

Although plagued by dataminers leaking potential characters and a very much ill-received Sony exclusive Spider-Man, there is still promise of a score that will be as heart-pounding as it is varied to specific characters. It’s clear Tahouri put a lot of effort into fleshing out the soundscapes in this experience, ensuring that every character had a unique tempo to background the story and even a player’s actions.

Experience music as powerful as the Avengers themselves on September 4th.
