Spider-Man is one of the most iconic and legendary heroes ever made, and Insomniac’s take on the character might be one of the most relatable versions yet. This Peter Parker is one struggling with rent, confidence, a social life, the loss of loved ones, and even former mentors turned into violent lunatics terrorizing the city. Yet despite his many hurdles, Peter rises to the occasion, overcoming the odds and fighting for what’s right, while looking good doing it.
Despite issues with the rent and jobs, Marvel’s Spider-Man manages to have a closet full of costumes, enough to rival any billionaire vigilantes or armored Avengers. The wall crawling hero’s wardrobe is formidable and unique, and Marvel’s Spider-Man manages to bring in a huge variety of Spidey’s greatest, and strangest, looks.
45 Classic (Damaged) - Behold The Chest Hairs
Not exactly Peter on his best day, the classic damaged skin is the effect a Wilson Fisk beatdown has on Spider-Man. The idea of a damaged and wounded suit is great, but the execution here is lacking.
There isn’t that much damage on the suit itself, which is just the classic suit. Had there been ravaged lenses, more torn clothing and maybe scars/bruises, the skin would have stood out more and have been a more unique look. Overall, it’s a missed opportunity.
How To Get The Skin:
This is the game’s default skin.
44 Undies - Scandalous Spidey
The undies suit is just that, it’s Peter Parker, still masked, in his little Spider-Man undies. The suit cameos early on in the game after the wall-crawler was infected with Scorpion’s hallucinogens, but nobody expected it to return as a playable attire, especially as a reward.
The suit power is also overpowered, as Spidey basically becomes One Punch Man, beating everyone (including himself) with one hit.

43 ESU - Everyday Hero
The ESU skin is a nice reference, showcasing Peter’s older academic days at the Empire State University. There isn’t much to it, the skin has nice cozy textures for the casual look, but that’s it.
The mask is just the default mask, but it looks a bit strange with the t-shirt and jeans combo, making Peter look like one of the cosplayers he encounters in the game. The visual, heavily detailed webshooters are a really nice touch though, gleaming in the light.

42 Wrestler - Grappling Expert
Based on the 2003 Ultimate Spider-Man storyline, the wrestler suit is a direct reflection of Peter’s short time as a not-so-professional wrestler, defeating Carl ‘The Crusher’ Creel. There’s even a reference to this one sided battle, depicted by a poster in Peter’s room.
The fuzzy red sweater and mask is a great prototype look for the character, while the game upgrades the mask’s eyes with reflective lenses. It’s great looking in brawls, and its suit power ‘King Of The Ring’ allows Spidey to throw opponents with ease.

41 Negative - The Dark Side
Mister Negative is one of the game’s most complex and important antagonists. His negative touch corrupts his victims, but this suit is not just a reference to him, it’s a reference to the Negative Zone.
Spider-Man once journeyed into this cosmic realm, his suit transforming into this nullified attire. The large spider and eerie glow look fantastic, and the unique, pulsating shadows contrast well against the black parts of the skin. The light web pattern also looks great with the mask, while blending in with the teal eyes.
Collect one base token, one research token and two landmark tokens after Level 11
40 Electrically Insulated - Returning To The Nineties
To take down the fully powered and volatile Electro, Peter created the electrically insulated, shock proof suit, which would allow him to combat the villain’s power.
The skin has a rubbery, spongy texture, while adding a bit of bulk with the gauntlets and boots. The red diamond-like spider contrasts well against the greyish blue suit, while the large silver eyes really stand out. The smaller armored pieces seem to keep the suit together, adding a bit of practicality to the dated attire.
Collect three crime tokens, one base token and one research token after Level 13
39 Homemade - The Spiderling?
The MCU’s Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, worked hard on his own before meeting Tony Stark, creating a suit out of his clothing and self-made gadgets. This resulted in this homemade suit, first introduced in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
The skin is a gorgeous red and blue with tons of personality, thanks to the hoodie, sweatpants and goggle-like eyes. The external webshooters are well detailed, complimenting the red and black gloves. The suit is slim and comfy-looking, creating a great look for a young Spidey.

38 Cyborg Spider-Man - Offensive Upgrades
Needing help against the Sinister Six, Spider-Man gained temporary cybernetic enhancements. In an alternate universe, this Spider-Man grows even more cybernetic and inhuman, but thankfully this skin retains the charm and personality of Peter Parker.
The skin is essentially the classic suit, but is filled with a large amount of damage and wear-and-tear. This Peter is armed (literally) and prepared, with a gold utility belt and a jagged silver arm. The white bandana and cyber eyepatch, in the shape of his eyes, is a great touch.

37 Spirit Spider - Straight From Hell
Armed with the spirit fire of hell, this version of Spider-Man was killed in his realm. Resurrected by the sorcerer supreme, Bruce Banner, he was transformed into the Ghost Spider.
This Spider-Man has the powers of the hero Ghost Rider, which can easily explain the hellish blue fire and grisly white skull. The ghoulish white skin has an unnerving bonelike structure, accentuated by the creepy edged hands and feet. The black, thin spider looks fantastic while contrasting with the white, and the tiny skull is also a great touch.

36 Iron Spider - Smells Like A New Car
Based off the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s take on the Iron Spider armor, this look debuted in Spider-Man: Homecoming, as a gift from Tony Stark.
The skin, in turn, glows with its slick metallic texture. The shining blue eyes and sleek crimson mask look really nice, and the suit power, the beloved iron arms, move amazingly. However, unlike the classic Iron Spider, the multiple colours clash a lot; it makes up for this with detailed linework and glowing highlights. Regardless, the suit is a must have for any MCU fan.
Collect three Base Tokens, three Challenge Tokens and four Crime Tokens after Level 31
35 Secret War - The Other Black Suit
While the Secret Wars storyline introduced the symbiote Spider-Man, the Secret War storyline is very different. Led by Nick Fury and aided by SHIELD, a group of heroes quietly raided Latveria to battle Lucia Von Bardas. Spider-Man gained this new look, a tactical black suit with glowing highlights, and the suit power to release electric pulses.
The luminescent blue spider and thin orange webs are extremely unique and bright. The lack of webs also adds to the stealthy, tactical vibe of the skin, and its story.

34 Fear Itself - Gift Of The Gods
When the Norse God Serpent waged war on Marvel’s heroes, the dwarves of Nidavellir and Tony Stark created armor for the heroes. The attire is made of uru, the same metal as Thor’s hammer Mjolnir.
The blue in Spidey’s outfit is replaced by a dark grey chainmail-like material, while the neon blue armor glows and pulsates. The greatest part of the skin is the bulky gauntlets. The jagged edges and rounded lights look mighty, but sadly the blades can’t be used like they are in the comics.
Collect two base tokens, six challenge tokens and three research tokens after Level 21
33 Bombastic Bag-Man - Back-Up Threads
After parting ways with the symbiote, Spider-Man turned to his old allies, the Fantastic Four. Peter was given a spare outfit by his friend Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. He was then forced to improvise, creating the hilarious paper bag mask with cut-out eyes.
Cutting ties from the comic, the in-game skin adds black boots, but sadly removes the ‘Kick Me’ sign stuck to Peter’s back, again a gift from Johnny. The skin is a hilarious nod to the comics, and the sleek blue F4 attire looks beautiful.

32 Spider-Clan - Traditional Warrior
Known as the ‘mangaverse’ Spider-Man, this Peter Parker was part of the ninja Spider Clan, trained by his sensei Ben. When his uncle and clan were killed by Venom, Spidey sets out for vengeance.
The spider-clan skin has a sleek red t-shirt, bandaged gloves and grey shoes. The skin however, is one of the few that are made to have a more personalized, altered visual style. This skin not only has a more animated style, it also makes Spidey smaller and younger.

31 Arachnid Rider - Crimson Glow
This skin is an homage to the Kamen Rider franchise, and the result is a bright red armored look, with a gorgeous black and gold spider. The suit has a horned helmet and plated spider armor. Like the Spider-Clan skin, it has a beautiful visual style, making it seem like an anime character.
This distinct style makes the lighting and shading look gorgeous in the NYC sun, allowing the colors to reflect off like a painting. While not the most practical suit, it’s one of the most unique ones.

30 Armored Advanced - Better And Brighter
An even more upgraded version of the advanced suit, which is an upgraded version of the classic suit! This skin takes the white armored spider to the next level, allowing black and white armor to cover most of Spidey’s body.
The red fabric has been replaced with a protective layer that retain the original colors and web pattern, creating a beautiful glossy shine. While the eye lenses aren’t as receptive and expansive, but the white and red helmet looks gorgeous, and is a great exchange.
29 Resilient - Unbreakable Spirit
Created specifically for this game, this suit was designed by artist Gabriel Dell’Otto. The skin shines thanks to its use of metal plating, and the armor has a diamond-like quality. The silver spider is thin, but outstretched to surround the entirety of the skin. These silver highlights also appear near the arms and boots of Spider-Man, and this beautiful colour scheme even continues into the web pattern. The eyes are smaller to create an intense and determined look, one that Dell’Otto’s Spidey art is known for.

28 Spider Armor Mk 2 - Bulletproof
Spider-Man has made a series of upgraded suits to protect him, and the mark two of the spider armor is a lean, smooth black attire.
The bright yellow Spider blends into the linework around the suit, almost looking like the skin is in movement, zipping past the skyline. This pattern connects with the yellow eyes, which streak up the helmet. It’s a great blend of styles, with shining black metal and a softer, more matte texture as well.
Collect one base token, one landmark token and two research token after Level five
27 Spider-UK - Captain Britain’s Might
This Spider-Man is a part of the Captain Britain Corps, who went off to help alternate dimensions in the original comic book ‘Spiderverse’ storyline.
The skin manages to incorporate the Union Jack into the style of Spider-Man, and it works beautifully. The red and white web pattern looks gorgeous. The external spider-like webshooters are fantastic, a great use of metallic textures that stand out but aren’t an eyesore. The skin has a rich, dark turquoise instead of blue, but regardless, it’s a great colour scheme.
Complete the story for DLC Pack One: The Heist
26 Last Stand - Till The End
The Last Stand timeline has an older, more grizzled Spidey protect the city one last time. The skin features a blood-red leather jacket and a simplistic red mask, as well as black jeans and boots.
There’s no web pattern, the skin instead uses the colors red and black to create contrast. This skin has a raw, brutal underground feel to it, as it feels like Spider-Man is preparing for a gruesome brawl rather than a heroic adventure.
