A huge improvement on the car it replaces, the new E-Class feels like it’s jumped two generations in one go. Refined, quick, economical, comfortable and now full of tech it can almost drive itself and stands comparison with a Tesla costing twice as much. Only the genius of the new BMW 5-Series stops it being the best car in its class.
