The iconic badge on the front grille is about the only thing that is recognisable from this traditional British brand, which is now Chinese-owned. MG was always known for its sports car heritage, before it all went downhill and the company fell apart. Thankfully, the ever-resourceful Chinese have seen some value in the name at least and has since brought the brand back full swing with a growing portfolio of affordable cars. It’s hard to diss the value being offered by MG with the MG ZS EV Trophy Connect. You get the added bonus of a 7-year, 80,000-mile warranty too, which is surely more than enough to reassure anyone who might have reservations about buying into what is now a budget brand.
