The Surface 3 is the most sensible Surface yet. And while it ticks lots of boxes - Full HD 10.8-inch screen, ample battery life, slimmest design yet, fan-free silent processor - it still raises the question of balance. Do you really want a chunky tablet, or a slightly expensive 2-in-1 PC? For some that answer is a definite yes, others will find the Surface 3 sat between two pillars, not quite achieving all it set out to be.
