Minecraft Dungeons’ first DLC, Jungle Awakens, is already almost upon us, and is set to release sometime in July, according to a recent announcement.
The dungeon crawler, which released not long ago on May 26, hinted at two DLC packs that would be available for those who bought the Hero Edition or Hero Pass. Now, we finally know more details about the first Minecraft Dungeons DLC. Jungle Awakens will be set in a – you guessed it – wild jungle and players will be tasked with three missions to take on a mysterious power lurking within. As players make their way through the wilderness, they’ll discover not only new weapons, armor, and artifacts, but also new enemies, such as the leapleaf, jungle zombie, and poison quill vine.
“Once you’ve had enough of the jungle heat, you’ll explore some frozen peaks in Creeping Winter,” Mojang’s Cristina Anderca stated in the announcement, which will be Mincraft Dungeon’s second DLC pack. Though we don’t yet have details about Creeping Winter or when it will release, it seems likely the second adventure will take place in a snowy setting. In the meantime, the announcement also mentioned that Mojang’s team will be working on adding cross-platform play and new free content.
Mincraft Dungeon: Jungle Awakens will release sometime in July, 2020.
