Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players let out a cry of shared pain earlier when a meme surfaced which perfectly encapsulates the Shipment multiplayer experience. Though Shipment is one of the game’s most popular maps, it comes with its own host of problems as all sorts of problem players pop up during matches.
The inclusion of Shipment was cause for celebration, and likely still is, but the sheer number of people on the map and those using it to complete Call of Duty: Modern Warfare challenges cause some frustrating tropes. This meme shows just four of them, but there are plenty.
After posting it, Reddit blew up with people either complaining about the concepts in the meme or even confessing to using some of those tactics. There were also a ton of people bringing up other problems they have on Shipment that weren’t initially included in the meme.
The meme is titled simply “Shipment starter pack,” and showcases some of the most annoying strategies players use on the map. The first image is simply a rocket launcher, a nod to the masses of players running around with rockets in Modern Warfare multiplayer on Shipment. The second picture can be a little more difficult to parse out, but the dragon breathing fire represents the Dragon’s Breath shotgun. One player even recalls a match in which every one Dragon’s Breath and molotovs, claiming that the entire map was constantly on fire throughout the duration of the match.
The third picture shows a shipping crate, which refers to the infamous shipping container at B. Players often camp inside of this, waiting for someone to step in front in order to get a kill. Many commenters are quick to remind readers that the crate can be shot through, however, and a well placed grenade would certainly do the trick as well. The final picture shows a prone woman, and sparks outrage at the thought of people lying prone in the middle of Shipment. Most of these are done for the sake of completing challenges but it doesn’t make it any less annoying.
The comments are filled with other examples of what could have made this meme, such as smoke grenade spammers, riot shield turtles, and more, but in general everyone agrees that the image is extremely accurate, almost painfully so. Still, people love Shipment, and these things aren’t likely to deter anyone from playing it anytime soon.
