Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gives players a variety of ways to customize their guns in-game, like with weapon charms. Since Infinity Ward fixed the glitch where weapon charms were messing up players’ aim in Modern Warfare, fans have had a fun time unlocking, purchasing, and equipping new charms for their favorite weapons. The sheer number of weapon charms available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is staggering, with the number growing almost weekly. However, it’s not always clear how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can get their hands on some of the charms in the game, as is the case with the DualShock 4 charm.

Reddit user beastbox asked the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare community how to unlock the DualShock weapon charm in the game, and no one is in agreement. Some theorized that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare DualShock weapon charm was a gift for being subscribed to PlayStation Plus, whereas others think that it came in a code when players purchased a specialty Modern Warfare-themed PS4 controller.

There are even more theories about how to unlock the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare DualShock 4 charm, but it doesn’t seem anyone knows for sure. The COD Tracker site reveals that the charm was introduced during Modern Warfare Season 2, so perhaps it was added then as part of some PlayStation promotion.

Perhaps the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare DualShock charm is unlocked through the Spec Ops Survival mode. For the uninitiated, Spec Ops Survival is PS4 exclusive for an entire year after Modern Warfare’s launch, and so it would make sense to tie content like this to it. Spec Ops Survival is also one of the least played modes in the game, what with standard multiplayer and Warzone battle royale taking all the attention, so it would explain why it seems almost no one knows exactly how to get it.

However, that’s just speculation at this time. Hopefully Infinity Ward chimes in and reveals exactly how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can get their hands on the DualShock weapon charm, and confirm whether or not it’s even possible now that Season 2 is firmly in the past.

Looking ahead, there should be plenty more new cosmetic items like weapon charms added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare Season 4 is expected to start any day now, though a specific release date has yet to be announced.
