Piccadilly is a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare map that has had mixed reception since its launch. After several glitches and map exploits were discovered, it quickly became one of the most hated maps in the game’s rotation. Modern Warfare fans have been waiting months for any fix to be made so Piccadilly can return to a semi-playable state.

In an atmosphere of cheaters and hackers, there is a never-ending list of Modern Warfare exploits and glitches needing to be fixed. One look at Infinity Ward’s public Trello and fans can see the work that still needs to be done in the popular shooter. One new board on Trello suggests that Modern Warfare fans will not have to wait much longer before a Piccadilly patch is added to the game.

Piccadilly is a map inspired by the West End in real-life’s London. Structure and spawn points quickly made this one of the most hated maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Many players simply quit the match before it even begins when spawned into this map. Sadly, the issues do not stop at poor design as a widely known glitch allows exploitative players a chance to hide in an out-of-bounds area of Piccadilly. Once hidden in this spot players can just gun down opponents from an invisible camping spot.

Most game modes this glitch has minimal impact on a match but in elimination based game modes in Modern Warfare the problem is a bit more severe. Videos on Reddit and YouTube show the damaging effects of the glitch on game modes like Infected as one player can hide outside the map’s boundary and be almost impossible to kill using the infected toolkit.

It is unclear exactly what fixes will be applied to Piccadilly. The problem is extensive with multiple glitch spots scattered throughout the map. Based on the Trello board, some functions of the exploit are probably being repaired but the extent of the repairs might not stretch past one or two problem spots.

Season 5 upcoming content is promising a ton of positive changes to the year-old shooter. Modern Warfare fans continue to gain small pieces of the upcoming season’s patch but the only thing that they know for sure is that the file size will most likely increase once again.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
