Kingdom Hearts fans looking to get more intimate details about their favorite characters and dive deeper into the series’ ever-expanding lore will get their chance to do so as Dark Horse will be releasing the hardcover copy of Kingdom Hearts: Character Files in English for the first time this October. Kingdom Hearts: Character Files, which was initially released in Japan in February 2020, will contain information about over 200 characters that have appeared throughout the popular Disney and Square Enix RPG series, shining a light on the backstories of each character and their evolving appearances and costume designs, which most Kingdom Hearts fans have fawned over....

Like past games in the Disney/Final Fantasy crossover franchise, Kingdom Hearts 3 features a number of keyblades that Sora can wield over the course of his adventure. However, where Kingdom Hearts 3 differs from previous games is that some of these keyblades are only available if players pre-ordered the game, meaning some fans will be missing out on certain keyblades. While some fans may be disappointed that they may not necessarily be able to get the Midnight Blue keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 3, that doesn’t mean they will have a shortage of weapons in the game....

Capping off a weekend of Kingdom Hearts 3 news, Director Tetsuya Nomura took the extra time to answer questions regarding keyblade transformations and summons in the new game. Keyblade transformations are a major addition in Kingdom Hearts 3, allowing Sora to turn his weapon into powerful offensive or defensive tools in battle. Nomura had previously confirmed that each keyblade had two transformations, but today offered some new specifics. This weekend saw the reveal of a Toy Story world which is being introduced in Kingdom Hearts 3....

Now Traveller’s Tales will be returning to the franchise that put the LEGO games on the map with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which promises to re-tell the entire Star Wars story from The Phantom Menace all the way to The Rise of Skywalker....

A new update for Among Us allows players to do more jobs, including scientists, shapeshifters, and more. “Among Us, once regarded as a simplistic take on the Mafia and Werewolf party games, is finally expanding on the basic Crewmates vs. Impostors format. In an update released today, Among Us players will be able to take on the role of Scientist, Engineer, Shapeshifter, or Guardian Angel, all of which come with their own unique sets of skills....

Little Nightmares is a horror game produced by Tarsier Studios, and it’s one of 2017’s hidden gems. The game relies on a marvelously creepy setting, clever puzzles, and a genuinely hair-raising cast of miss-fitted monsters to deliver its hits, resulting in a creative foray into a strange dollhouse-like world that never seems forced. Little Nightmares is strangely beautiful, and players will likely find it just as artistic and creative as Limbo, with the latter’s shadows replaced by a blend of colors, somber tones, or complete darkness wherever appropriate....

The Mafia 1 remake is set to be a big release as it rebuilds the mechanics of the first entry of the franchise from the ground up. It has been eighteen years since the original release of the game and as a result, this remake is set to be a vast improvement on the original graphics. However, the game does not seem to be a direct copy of the original and with Mafia: Definitive Edition casting new actors and reportedly having an open-world, fans are eager to see what this remaster brings to the story....

The latest patch for Fallout 4 hits all platforms this week, offering plenty of bug fixes, gameplay improvements, and a few PC-specific graphical enhancements. Months after its initial release, Fallout 4 evidently still has a few Creation Engine-based glitches to sort out. Most of these will have gone by unnoticed by the majority of gamers, but the latest 1.3 patch for Fallout 4 looks like it addresses the majority of bug complaints that seemed to pop up on things like Reddit and Twitter....

Square Enix reveals its current-gen upgrade will change the way Marvel Avengers’ players will level up their heroes. Marvel’s Avengers’ next big milestone is fast approaching. On March 18, the game will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X. On the same day, the next chapter of its DLC will also go live, giving its players a chance to take control of Clint Barton’s Hawkeye for the first time. The game’s developers have revealed a little more information about what to expect from the upgraded version of the game, including a major tweak to how its heroes level up....

Mass Effect: Andromeda lead designer, Ian S. Frazier, confirms over Twitter that players can influence the look of Alec Ryder through the customization of the twins. With a release date quickly approaching, BioWare still has much to reveal about its long awaited space action, RPG, Mass Effect: Andromeda. Early on, the studio confirmed that the lead character had a twin, letting the player ultimately select which to be through the campaign, but their father, Alec Ryder, is also the lead Pathfinder for the Andromeda Initiative....

Ahead of the game’s launch next week, BioWare’s sci-fi RPG Mass Effect: Andromeda has teamed up for an unlikely crossover with Rock Band 4. Today, it was announced that several Mass Effect: Andromeda-themed items will be available for free to players of the music rhythm action game. As detailed by Harmonix in the tweet below, four different “Andromeda Rock Shop” items are available to celebrate the game’s upcoming release. These include a new guitar that is in the shape of the Tempest spaceship, as well as an outfit that makes player’s virtual rockers look like the Mass Effect: Andromeda player character, the Pathfinder....

Ever since the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator became a massive hit with PC players, Xbox Series X and Xbox One owners were eagerly awaiting an update on a port to the two consoles. Now, the game will officially hit Series X and S later this year, bringing the game’s stunning airborne vistas to console players around the world. However, news of an Xbox One version was nonexistent, all but confirming a previous-gen port was not launching alongside the Series X release....

Many customers who picked up the new Xbox Series X|S controller are experiencing issues with the product, as the gamepad becomes unresponsive when connected to either an Xbox Series X|S or PC. Microsoft is reportedly aware of the issue, and is already looking into a solution. In a statement to The Loadout, Microsoft confirmed that the unresponsiveness of controllers is a known problem and that the team is hard at work on a fix....

Microsoft’s Xbox boss Phil Spencer announces that the company still plans to “take risks” following the surprise cancellation of Platinum Games’ Scalebound. For those unaware, many Xbox fans might still be reeling from shock at the moment, as it was announced just a couple of days ago that the highly anticipated action-RPG from Platinum Games known as Scalebound officially got cancelled. While many lamented the video game’s cancellation, Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft’s Xbox division, assured fans that although it was a “difficult” decision to cancel the project, it was a choice that ultimately results as being “better for Xbox gamers....

With 1.17 out, players were graced by the presence of a brand-new interesting mob: the goat. It’s one of the more unique-looking mobs out there, and it was actually made in a program called Blockbench, which gives it that oddly realistic appearance. Goats are also one of the player-voted mobs to be included in the new update by Mojang. While goats don’t have immensely engaging gameplay to them yet, they bring in just a bit more diversity when it comes to Minecraft’s roster of mobs....

GameGate’s shadow is still evidently enough to make a former programmer blow up on Twitter. Markus “Notch” Persson, the creator of Minecraft, is known for being a prolific Twitter user, barely going an hour without hitting “send” on a tweet. But this time it looks like he’s gone off the deep end. It all happened Sunday evening after being presented a tweet from Twitter user @Unburnt Witch: @UnburntWitch was referring to the developer of an upcoming indie game, The Last Night....

Pixar’s Toy Story is about the power of imagination, and so is Minecraft. So it makes so much sense for the two beloved brands to collide. Thankfully, Disney actually partnered with Mojang to make it happen via an official Minecraft content pack. The Toy Story Mash-Up pack adds skins and locations from the Pixar film franchise, allowing you to live the toy life and feel very tiny. This isn’t the first time Minecraft has mashed up with a popular media franchise....
