The Peacemaker show, which was a spinoff of The Suicide Squad, is set to have its own spinoff featuring Viola Davis as the ruthless Amanda Waller. “Viola Davis is now expected to reprise her role as Amanda Waller in a new Peacemaker and Suicide Squad spin-off series on HBO Max. According to a new report from Variety, the actress is now tied to a new project that is based around her character as the helm of Task Force X, also known as the Suicide Squad....

Madden NFL 21, the 2020 edition of EA’s annual American football video game series, has been getting raked over the coals on Metacritic. In just three days, the PlayStation 4 version of the game has gotten an average user review score of 0.4, beating out other “greats” like Warcraft 3: Reforged. Anyone taking a look at the PlayStation 4 version of Madden NFL 21 on Metacritic will see that, at the time of writing, 1,676 users have lambasted the game’s user rating....

Despite beginning the year with a lot of promise, Microsoft’s “Games with Gold” initiative is a complete wash for March 2021. The company announced its slate of free games for Xbox Live Gold (and Game Pass Ultimate) subscribers and I’m sort of at a loss for words. Metal Slug 3 is absolutely a great game and a classic, but the Xbox 360 port suffers from a ton of slowdown and is censored....

The Mario Kart mobile game has added a new tour that will feature Swimwear Mario and Swimwear Rosalina. The Marine Tour that kicked off today will run until July 14, and will feature some extra goodies for racers to add to their inventory. As temperatures soar during the pandemic summer of 2020, Nintendo offer a cooling tour for racers of Mario Kart Tour to lose several hours in. The aquatic Marine Tour will feature racing courses through the Mushroom Kingdom in the mobile game’s limited-time event....

Marvel’s Avengers is now available to those who purchased the more expensive versions of the game, and one of the most surprising things about my experience is how much I am enjoying playing as Kamala Khan. Although, this has more to do with how she plays like one of the most famous manga characters in history - Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece. I wasn’t particularly interested in playing as Kamala Khan going into Marvel’s Avengers....

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition arrives later this week on PC promising a brand new level of visual fidelity for video games. Enhanced Edition will be one of the first games ever to be built solely for GPUs capable of ray tracing and will not work on older graphics cards that aren’t able to render the advanced lighting technique. On top of that, Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition will also take full advantage of Nvidia’s DLSS technology to ensure peak performance on Nvidia graphics cards....

Earlier this month, Xbox head Phil Spencer revealed that, contrary to popular belief, his company’s focus is on delivering games with a consistent (and high) frame rate over 1080p resolution. Obviously, he wasn’t saying that Microsoft won’t work towards 1080p, but when it comes to gameplay frame rate is king. Since that time, Spencer has come out to say that he does value high resolution gaming, and doesn’t want Xbox fans to think they are getting an inferior product....

GameStop has been hemorrhaging as a business for the past several years. While people still buy games, less and less of them buy games in an actual store. All those dollars and cents now get passed through digital storefronts like the Microsoft or PlayStation Stores, leaving GameStop to sell an ever-expanding wall of Funko Pop! Figures. But last week, Microsoft entered into a “multi-year strategic partnership” with GameStop that might have just saved the failing games retailer....

Much of its growth was accelerated by global lockdowns, as the title earned nearly $550 million in 2020 alone. First released in 2015, the casual title saw its best-ever month last December when it earned $118 million – an increase of 92.7% compared to the previous year. Coin Master was also one of the top revenue-generating mobile games worldwide in 2020 across both the App Store and Google Play and has just under 200 million downloads around the world....

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 16, according to a statement from THQ Nordic. The game comes with three DLC packs and marks the first time Kingdoms of Amalur will be available on a mobile platform. The Teeth of Naros, Legend of Dead Kel, and Weapons and Armor bundles are the three expansions available on Switch. THQ Nordic also confirmed the world of Amalur will continue to grow in 2021, as the Fatesworn expansion is planned to release by year’s end....

LIRIK managed to pull off an impressive trickshot while streaming VALORANT on Twitch, sniping two players at once. The shot was only intended to land on the opposing team’s Phoenix agent, but their Viper player wandered in and quickly became a victim of collateral damage. The second kill might’ve been accidental, but it was an amazing snipe nevertheless. Luckily for LIRIK, he was holding down the corridor with the most expensive gun in the game – the Operator sniper rifle....
