Liam Neeson recently announced his plans to retire from action movies within the next couple of years, so People asked him where his career could go after he leaves the genre behind. Apparently, a switch to comedy could be on the horizon, as the Taken actor confirmed that he’s been approached by Paramount Pictures and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane about starring in a Naked Gun reboot. Neeson said, “I’ve been approached by Seth MacFarlane and Paramount Studios to maybe resurrect The Naked Gun films,” and joked, “It’ll either finish my career or bring it in another direction....

Indiana Jones 5 director James Mangold teases that the first trailer for the upcoming film will drop sooner rather than later, likely before the new year. “The highly anticipated fifth installment of Disney and Lucasfilm‘s Indiana Jones is slated to arrive in theaters a lot sooner than one may expect. Since its announcement earlier this year, fans have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of the film and updates for Indiana Jones 5....

It looks like Phil Lord and Chris Miller are finally back in the director’s chair for the film adaptation of the new book from The Martian author, Andy Weir. The duo were unceremoniously dropped from their previous directorial effort, Solo: A Star Wars Story, due to ‘creative differences’ with Lucasfilm and replaced by Ron Howard. Weir has become a hot commodity since Ridley Scott’s take on his debut novel, The Martian, pulled in over $630 million at the worldwide box office and an impressive nine Academy Award nominations....

A few weeks have passed since the launch of Magic: The Gathering’s latest set, Zendikar Rising, and now players have begun to crack the new Limited and Constructed formats. A few waves of bans have already shaken up the Standard scene, but Limited grinders are still busy climbing the ranks and trying to hit the Mythic top 100 tier. By now it’s obvious that PlayStation is the platform of choice for Marvel’s Avengers, to the frustration of many fans. I’ll be the first to admit it—I’m not really a superhero fan. Mass Effect Legendary Edition pre-load has begun on Xbox, revealing how much free space the remastered collection is going to take up. The anthology will require almost 85 GB of space on Xbox, and roughly 80 GB on PlayStation platforms. While 84.3 GB may eat into an Xbox’s storage (especially a Series S), this is the total for all three games. If you take into account that Legendary Edition is three enormous games with tons of DLC, the file size is not that big....

Earlier this week, we brought news that SimCity developer Maxis was looking to add mod support to their online simulation game. Although Maxis wouldn’t outright say User Generated Content was coming to SimCity, a detailed forum post suggested they were exploring the option. Today, Maxis has taken things a step further, and released a lengthy blog post that, in no uncertain terms, claims they are bringing mod support to SimCity. But first, they are looking to have an open discussion with their player base to better understand what they want....

The number of standalone virtual reality headsets is on the rise, which is certainly good news for VR fans. Although Xbox One sales have been pretty strong since launch in November, things hit a significant snag when the console rolled out to Japan. We were promised the first DLC at some point in July, and to fans delight, the “Jungle Awakens” expansion DLC for Minecraft Dungeons has arrived not in just the first week of July, but the first day. Minecraft Dungeons is looking to bring the isometric dungeon crawler to a more accessible level this week at launch. While it’s looking to make a fun and easy take on the action role playing game, it doesn’t mean it’s forgotten the king of the genre. With Minecraft Dungeons just days away from its May 26 launch, early review copies are out there and some players are finding amazing little details. One that is getting traction is a reference to Blizzard’s Diablo 2, considered to be the best game of the genre and an important influence on all that have come after....

After its cancelation in 2010, Law & Order embarked upon a long journey back to television, which it achieved with a 21st season a decade in the making on Feb. 24, 2022. With less than two weeks remaining until the start of the League of Legends World Championship, Riot Games officially selected, at random, the teams competing in each of the four groups in the Group Stage, as well as the two groups competing in the Play-In Stage. The Play-In Stage will consist of ten teams, split into two groups of five. After a round-robin, the first place team from each group will advance to the Group Stage in the Main Event, while the second, third and fourth place teams from each group will compete in the Knock-Out stage....

The upcoming Resident Evil 8 from Capcom is ushering the classic survival-horror franchise into the next generation, serving as one of the first major truly next-gen game releases on the horizon by skipping PS4 and Xbox One entirely.
