If there is one place that the technology has potential to shine though, it’s in the world of homebrew. This is where the upcoming release of Kinect 2 on PC comes into play....

The crowd-funding platform known as Kickstarter announces its figures related to video game campaigns, revealing the accrual of over $46 million in 2015. Today, Kickstarter released new statistics on its blog, showing that crowd-funding for video games last year was much more successful than in 2014, as $46,177,705 was raised in 2015 by a total of 480,382 backers, which resulted in 421 successfully funded projects. However, last year’s figures for Kickstarter’s video game campaigns fell short of 2013’s overall numbers, which ended with roughly $57 million altogether....

One of the biggest time sinks in the Kingdom Hearts series is the need to grind for particular materials that are needed to create the more powerful items and weapons in the game. In the case of the original Kingdom Hearts, one of those items is the Blaze Gem, one of three Blaze items that can be obtained by defeating Heartless across the various Disney worlds. While Blaze Gems aren’t the hardest materials to come across in the game, they can be difficult to find if players are not aware of which enemies drop them upon defeat and where those enemies are most commonly found, leading to many players simply running from world to world in a vain attempt to find even one of them....

A recent interview has revealed that Konami is looking to outsource more of its franchises after the positive reception of the return of GetsuFumaDen. Speaking with JPGames (via VGC), GetsuFumaDen’s producer Shin Murato was asked whether Konami’s decision to partner with developer GuruGuru on the project means that the publisher will be looking to outsource more of its IP in the future: “We are continually inspired by various indie titles, and how they innovate and produce exciting games,” explains Murato....

Not too long ago, we found out that Riot Games will be releasing a new animated series based on League of Legends called Arcane. The show is aimed at a 14+ audience, so we can expect that it will include content not just targeting children. Former T1 and FunPlus Phoenix top laner Kim “Khan” Dong-ha has signed with 2020 League of Legends world champions DAMWON Gaming, the Korean organization announced today. Alongside Khan comes 2020 Champions Korea winner Kim “Chasy” Dong-hyeon, who also joins the squad as a top laner. Khan takes over the top lane position from Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon, whose contract expired earlier this month. DAMWON has an impressive run to lift the Worlds trophy, being the first Korean team to do so since 2017....
