Epic and Apple are still holding legal knives to each other’s throats in their ongoing anti-trust lawsuit. Each side is firing every weapon at their disposal, with Apple removing Fortnite from anything that has to do with their platforms, while Epic continues a media blitz painting Apple as the big bad monopolist. This comes amid more Cyberpunk 2077 rumors that the long-awaited title is going to be delayed another time, until 2021. Destiny has been called a shared-world shooter by its developer Bungie. The game is always online and it is constantly changing, as millions of players pour through its content. Bungie still doesn’t say it, but Destiny is basically an MMO, and with that comes frequent patches and hot fixes to squash bugs or exploits found by the community. Last week, when players discovered the secret side quest that unlocked the hidden exotic sniper rifle Black Spindle, Bungie said that the exotic should not be dropping with a 310 attack stat....
About a couple of months from now Fallout 4 will finally be available to the legions of fans patiently awaiting the next installment in Bethesda’s popular post-apocalyptic franchise. Final Fantasy 11’s longevity continues to surprise. The MMORPG was originally released in 2002, but remains played by audiences around the world 18 years later. Part of what’s led to Final Fantasy 11 still being live is that Square Enix continues to put out new content for it. 2021 continues that legacy, as Square Enix has already revealed that it will be releasing new content in both January and February. Odds are, this won’t be the last content update for Final Fantasy 11 in 2021, or even in future years....
Armored Girls returns to mobile and brings Yo-kai Watch’s Jibanyan with it. Originally a browser game that launched in 2017, Armored Girls was a spinoff of Little Battlers Experience, an action RPG franchise that first appeared on the PSP and Nintendo 3DS in the early 2010s. We get it–the premise for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is utter lunacy. Ubisoft’s wacky Rabbids somehow get smashed together with the Mario universe for a wild adventure through time and space, and also it’s a tactics game on top of that. It’s the most bizarre game you could possibly imagine. And yet it works. The insane plot, the colorful world, the potent arsenal that you can equip to Mario and pals (including the crossover Rabbids and one very alluring Peach Rabbid)… it all just comes together in a neat little package that deserves its 85% on Metacritic and it’s 2 million-plus units in sales....
Believe it or not, Mario Kart looks like it’s one of the most stressful games on the market. A new study found that, among the 16 games tested, players’ average heart rates increased the most while playing the family-friendly kart racer. Meanwhile, Dark Souls III caused players heart rate to spike more than any other game, with peaks as high as 127 BPM. The study was conducted by BonusFinder, which worked in conjunction with sports scientists and competitive gamers....
