In disheartening news, it appears that retail copies of Kingdom Hearts 3 have been stolen and leaked more than a month prior to the game’s January 29 release date. Someone appears to have stolen more than 30 copies of the game, which likely hasn’t even been sent to retailers yet, and then attempted to sell them via Facebook Marketplace for $100 apiece. The listing has since been taken down but since then, videos and images taken from the full release of Kingdom Hearts 3 have spread online, including via social media....

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 is finally reported to be in development, with Lucasfilm Games finding a new studio to take on the famous RPG franchise. It’s been reported that neither EA nor BioWare will be involved this time around, which will have some fans tentative about the prospect of a new team working on the IP. The second game was notably worked on by a different developer, Obsidian Entertainment, and it’s very possible that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3’s new development studio will be able to live up the series’ legacy....

A new change to the golden backpack introduced in the latest Apex Legends event unintentionally nerfs Mirage’s passive ability. Apex Legends’ new Chaos Theory Collection Event has brought a number of new additions to the game, many of which have become very popular amongst players. Alongside new cosmetics and map tweaks, Respawn has also introduced no-fill matchmaking for those that want to try dropping solo instead of part of a team....

League of Legends has been one of the most successful games of all time since its release in 2009. The Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) boasts 162 champions and counting. More recently released champions have often been stronger and more diverse than their older counterparts. Riot Games have been pushing the limits of the game with every major update. This has left many of the older champions feeling outdated and straightforward compared to the new excitingly complex champions....

Although Traveller’s Tales’ LEGO games are annual staples that sometimes release two, or even three, at a time, so far the 2015 slate has been mostly a mystery. Given what we know about WB and TT Games, it was safe to assume new games were in development, but the lack of talk suggested some big announcements were right around the corner. I lost my brother to cancer earlier this year. It was an eventuality that me and my entire family saw coming for years, but having time to prepare for such a thing doesn’t make its arrival any easier. His permanent absence is a void that is impossible to fill, and we’re left behind to look after each other and his children while trying to rebuild our lives in the aftermath. Update: Xbox has corrected itself regarding Life is Strange 2’s future on Game Pass. While upcoming episodes of Life is Strange 2 will indeed be coming to Game Pass, they will not be available at launch. They’ll instead be released 90 days after launch. So if Episode 2 is releasing on January 24, then it’ll be arriving on Game Pass around the week of April 24. Nickelodeon shows bring back very fond memories for many of us. The over the top characters and ridiculous scenarios may have been a little too much at the time, but often had us laughing anyway. This The Defenders review is based on the first four episodes. It contains NO spoilers at all! If you had any worries at all that Marvel’s assorted Netflix series were losing their way a little bit, the first four episodes of The Defenders should put those fears to rest. The Defenders is only eight episodes, while all four previous Marvel Netflix shows clocked in at 13 each. There’s been endless debate about whether these shows would be better served with runs of 10 episodes as opposed to 13, and even the very best of them (a few episodes aside, they have yet to better the first seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones) have a tendency to spin their wheels a little around the third act, occasionally giving the impression that there’s not quite enough story to get all the way to end....

Mass Effect 3 carries over the ingenious interrupt system that its predecessor introduced. Like in Mass Effect 2, players can disrupt a scene with actions whenever a Paragon or Renegade prompt appears on the screen. These interrupts can show either the ruthless or gentler side of the infamous human Spectre, Commander Shepard. When it comes to video game releases, most of the big new games are released in the fall as part of the “fall gaming rush.” While there are still major new video games released each month of the year, the September through November stretch is usually stacked to an impressive degree, with no other month in the year able to match up to the fall offerings. The shift from 8- to 16-bit was an important one for the video game medium, one that saw many franchises fundamentally change & reshape their identities. The Legend of Zelda refined itself into A Link to the Past, Super Metroid ironed out all of its series’ imperfections, and Super Mario World set a new standard for both Nintendo & game design as a whole. The Metal Gear Solid board game has kept fans waiting for two years already, and now plans to go for three before actually releasing. IDW Games, the game’s publisher, just announced that it would be delaying it once again. The game will now release sometime in the summer of 2021. The exact date is unknown. This isn’t the first time IDW’s Metal Gear Solid board game has seen a delay. The game was originally supposed to release in 2019, but in November of that year, IDW announced that it would be pushing the game back to summer 2020....
