A group of Minecraft builders are attempting to recreate the entirety of Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto V in the game and offer up an impressive video of its downtown region. To anyone with even a cursory awareness of the subject matter contained within both titles, Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V would seem like two games with very different audiences. However, a group of dedicated players are embarking on a project to re-create the setting of Los Santos in the cube-filled world of Minecraft....

Sports and esports organizations are having to get creative due to the novel coronavirus. WWE is one such example. Up until now, the WWE has avoided shutting down its upcoming WrestleMania pay-per-view event on April 5. But WWE’s professional wrestlers are already thinking about alternatives. For example, if Bray Wyatt and John Cena’s WrestleMania match is delayed, Wyatt has another idea. Instead, he wants a deathmatch against Cena set in a Hooters....

The first post-launch hero coming to Marvel’s Avengers has been revealed, as Kate Bishop will be one of the playable heroes arriving in the near future. Marvel’s Avengers will launch with a line-up of heroes that is similar to the one from the first Avengers movie, with the addition of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel to the team. The developers revealed that more heroes and storylines will be added to the game in the future with free post-launch DLC updates....

In Kingdom Hearts 3, players will find themselves constantly fighting more powerful enemies as they progress through Sora’s latest epic-scale adventure. These enemies will require players to find strong armor, strengthen their magic, and upgrade their keyblades if they hope to be successful. One of the items required to upgrade keyblades are Wellspring Crystals, which are somewhat hard to find in the game. Wellspring Crystals are synthesizing materials that are only found in specific worlds in the game....

Xbox Game Pass has already cultivated quite the library over the years, from blockbuster titles like Doom Eternal and Gears 5 to smaller gems such as Untitled Goose Game and Prison Architect. The lineup is filled with some major games, and it seems Microsoft has just queued up another significant release for those subscribed to the service: Madden NFL 21. Leaks in May, a release for August, and then a delay to September, but now we finally get to see what people think of Mafia: Definitive Edition the day before it comes out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Opinions fall largely into two camps. Either you love the game’s remade graphics and nostalgia-laden gameplay, or you find it pretty underwhelming. Our own Bella Blondeau fell into the latter camp, giving the game a 3/5 score noting that while the updated graphics, sound, and mocap were nice, the game’s controls were frustrating for melee combat or diving into cover....

Microsoft programming director Larry Hryb emphasizes that Redmond’s powerful Xbox upgrade Scorpio is about giving fans the option when and how to play games. Project Scorpio, the upgraded Xbox that is projected to come out late next year, got another tease from Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, the director of programming and main face of Microsoft’s console during an interview he gave at PAX Australia 2016. In its purest form, Maneater aspires to offer players a little more than they might expect out of a game about a revenge-fueled shark terrorizing a seaside town. Its humor blends well with the concept, the gameplay is deeper than anyone would assume, and it has some very eye-catching moments. But while the setup and the initial pitch of a shark RPG mixed with some Far Cry are exciting, the execution feels lacking and the content quickly starts to run thin....

The heroes in Mondo’s Unmatched board game are about to get a whole lot tougher as several Marvel characters join the roster. The creators of Unmatched have announced that four new packs will be introduced to the tabletop game in 2021 that introduce several Marvel heroes into the fray. This is exciting news for fans, as they can soon have Marvel favorites like Luke Cage and Daredevil face off against a Velociraptor from Jurassic Park… what more can you want from a game?...

Marvel’s Avengers is a live service game that is intended to receive new characters over the course of its lifespan. The first character who is coming to the game is Kate Bishop, who is an archery-themed hero with connections to Hawkeye. Kate Bishop will be free to download and she will receive her own story missions....

Marvel just released the trailer for their anticipated upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision, and audiences are reacting with a resounding “huh?” The intriguing preview seems to be proving that the show will be just as strange and surreal as fans were expecting. Starting off in an idyllic vision of classic 50’s Americana, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) appear to be part of a typical sitcom of the era, complete with peppy music and wacky neighbors....

Since its release back in March, Mass Effect: Andromeda is a title that has been plagued with issues, many of which stem from the poor facial animations in several portions of the game. Despite years of development and three past games to build on, the facial animations in particular can range between a little off and completely horrifying, something that the latest patch attempts to fix. Patch 1.09 released last week and, since then, many Mass Effect: Andromeda players have been trying to figure out just where the so-called ‘various improvements’ have been made to the space-exploration title’s animation....

Yesterday, we published a report on how the Mass Effect modding community has discovered unused audio in the official game files pertaining to gay romances with Kaidan, Ashley, Jack, Jacob, Miranda, Thane, and Tali. As it stands, these modders are hard at work developing a new modding toolset for Legendary Edition and will add all seven of these romance arcs to the game in due course. However, these aren’t the only files that have been excavated - a variety of cut missions have also been unearthed, including quests about hanar wars, mining planet sheriffs, and more....

Although Metro Exodus was never given a specific 2018 release date, most expected the post apocalyptic title from THQ Nordic to release before the end of the year. Unfortunately, that projection is no longer in the cards, as the developer has announced Metro Exodus will release in Q1 2019. News of the Metro Exodus 2019 release comes courtesy of THQ’s financial results, which were shared via press release. Since acquiring Deep Silver parent company Koch Media, THQ Nordic has been more public facing, and so financial outlooks like today’s will be more commonplace....

Ridley is not only one of the most infamous villains in the Metroid series, but he’s also one of the best in Nintendo’s very impressive roster. After debuting in the series’ very first game, Ridley has been a constant thorn in Samus’ side, continuing to be a worthy opponent to one of gaming’s greatest heroines. His hulking frame, deadly arsenal, and long-standing hatred for Samus make him a worthy adversary, and that’s not even taking into account his ability to keep bouncing back no matter how many times he’s defeated....
