On Monday, September 28, Federal District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers oversaw the latest arguments in the trial between Apple and Epic Games. The hearing mainly focused on an appeal made by Epic Games for Apple to reinstate the publisher’s titles, namely Fortnite, on the iTunes store. The battle over revenue from microtransactions began last August, when Fortnite received an update that allowed players to purchase V-bucks directly from Epic Games at a discount, a move which both Apple and Google argue is a violation of their Terms of Service....

One franchise that fans can always expect to see at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference every year is Just Dance, and the company’s E3 2017 event was no different. As announced by Ubisoft at E3, Just Dance 2018 will launch on October 26th for just about every home video game console on the market today, and even some that have been discontinued. Just Dance 2018 is making its way to modern consoles like PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, as well as last-generation systems like PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U....

The virual K-pop band K/DA is making a triumphant return later this month. Riot announced that starting on October 29, K/DA-themed items can be found in League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics. The event is in promotion of their upcoming album, ALL OUT, which will release on November 6. K/DA is composed of Ahri, Evelynn, Akali, and Kai’Sa, making their first appearance back in 2018 with the hit song, POP/STARS – becoming so popular that skins of the band members were introduced into League of Legends....

Every now and again, the video game industry evolves in often unimaginable ways. Some of those evolutions stick while others eventually fall by the wayside. After the success of the Nintendo Wii, we assumed that the movement sensor evolution was one that would be here to stay. The addition of Xbox Kinect and PlayStation Move was conclusive proof that wouldn’t be the case. Nintendo’s rivals did not enjoy the same amount of success with their movement technology as the Wii did....

Kingdom Hearts fans have been desperate to see the series make the jump to Nintendo Switch. While the possibility of previous games being ported over still seems like a pipe-dream, we will be getting a rhythm game spin-off Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, which is now confirmed to be releasing on November 13th. The surprise release from Nintendo, Kirby Fighters 2, has brought the king of copy into a battle with an entire cast of his alternate forms. On April 8, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received a big update that introduced the first batch of Season 3’s new content, along with various other fixes and changes. Players this past week have been putting those changes through their paces, and in the process, they’ve found that Infinity Ward has changed up more weapons than the patch notes would’ve had them believe. This Legion review contains spoilers. Legion Season 2 Episode 1 I wonder if Noah Hawley keeps looking over his shoulder to see if David Lynch is going to appear out of nowhere. It feels like the first season of FX’s Legion, with all of its aggressive strangeness, stylistic wonder, and batshit story ambition sort of had its thunder stolen by Twin Peaks: The Return. Until David Lynch decided to one-up Hawley’s bizarro foray into the superhero genre by way of psychedelic, psychological horror, Legion was by far the weirdest, and quite possibly the most brilliant, series on TV....
