Following the cancellation of highly anticipated PlatinumGames title Scalebound, publisher Microsoft Studios has begun removing all game trailers from YouTube. Scalebound seemed nearly too good to be true. Under development by Japanese game company PlatinumGames since 2013, Scalebound promised realistic video graphics, otherworldly gameplay, and a fantasical setting, with Sorcerian-style monsters, hydra bosses, and dragons that players could control. Since its debut by director Hideki Kamiya at E3 2014’s Microsoft conference, anticipation surrounding the title grew to incredible heights....

There’s a reason that Steve from Minecraft was added to Super Smash Bros. The game managed to pull in 131 million concurrent users in 2020 showing that this nearly ten-year-old game still has tons of content that players are enjoying to this day. With so many new players playing the game, it can be handy to know what items are useful and how they can be made. After spending hands-on time with Killer Instinct Season 3, one editor talks about how the addition of Halo and Battletoad mascots signals a big change of approach for the game. Ever since Microsoft confirmed that Rash the Battletoad would be joining Killer Instinct, fans have been wondering just what else the team at Iron Galaxy Studios has planned for the game. Evidently, it had quite a bit more, as the studio then confirmed that Halo’s Arbiter would be joining the fray as a Season 3 participant....

While it’s a shame that we’ve only had less than a year filled with new Kipo episodes at the least got a satisfying ending. Wild Rift is the upcoming mobile adaption of League of Legends, one of the most played online video games in the world. With the Oscars just around the corner, let’s take a look at the actors with the most Academy Award nominations of all time. “Some actors are in a lot of movies, some actors are in great movies, and some actors are in a lot of great movies. In this last category, Meryl Streep is the reigning champ. From her first Oscar nod for 1978’s The Deer Hunter to her most recent one for 2017’s The Post, Streep has amassed a total of 21 Academy Award nominations: four for best supporting actress and a staggering 17 for best actress....

So, you finally caved and bought Loop Hero? And now you’re playing it, you’re having a great time, but you just can’t quite seem to get the hang of which card you should be using and where you should be placing them. Not only do some cards work well together, some even transform when you add or remove other cards. The score itself is really rather lovely and sits very nicely alongside Howard Shore’s scores for the six Peter Jackson movies set in Middle-earth. Bear McCreary, the composer for Outlander, is a great choice for this job. His Outlander score incorporates Scottish and Celtic folk music beautifully into a fantasy drama score, as you might expect for a series about an 18th century Highland community. This makes him a perfect match for The Rings of Power, as Howard Shore was heavily inspired by Celtic music in his work on the films....

Update 8/2 - EA has issued a statement on the matter: The original story follows. “We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack. Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks. We messed up, and the edit should never have happened. We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference again....

Madden NFL 21, the latest title in the long-running American football series, has almost arrived. The game has had a rocky run-up to release, with many critics and fans angry at a lack of new features displayed in the trailers.
