It’s been well over two years since the events of Avengers: Endgame, and you’d be forgiven for forgetting exactly what went down during the climax of the Infinity Saga and some of the entries that led to it. There were plenty of Easter eggs and nods to other parts of the MCU in both Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame – some of them edging on “blink and you’ll miss it” territory as Marvel Studios sought to wrap up a decade and change of storytelling....

BioWare confirms that its forthcoming space adventure game Mass Effect: Andromeda is not going to be the beginning of a new trilogy for the franchise. As most Mass Effect: Andromeda fans are well aware, BioWare’s recent celebration of the science fiction series with yesterday’s N7 Day festivities contained plenty of juicy reveals, including, but not limited to the release of the game’s first major cinematic trailer. Now, it seems as if the studio has lots more to share about the title, as it was recently discovered in an interview held between Game Informer and Mass Effect: Andromeda’s creative director Mac Walters that the forthcoming sci-fi release will not begin a new trilogy for the franchise....

Mass Effect Legendary Edition’s many graphical improvements were achieved using AI upscaling techniques that Bioware originally discovered in fan mods. The devs aimed for better results than the mods, as they have access to the original, uncompressed assets. On the popular Nexus website, mods like A Lot Of Textures for the Mass Effect trilogy were downloaded more than a million times, with A Lot of Videos also having hundreds of thousands of downloads....

Nintendo announced Metroid Dread during its E3 presentation this week, and we’ve already seen a fair amount of gameplay. The trailer that aired during the Direct showed off quite a few environments, animations, and enemies featured in the new game, and a play session during Nintendo Tree House Live that aired after the showcase gave us an extended look at an early part of the game. We saw tons of new and returning abilities in the game, but in more than 30 minutes of gameplay, we saw exactly one second of morph ball action....

Microsoft isn’t taking the coronavirus situation lightly. Speaking to ZDNet, the company confirmed that all of its upcoming conferences will be hosted digitally to help curb the spread of the disease. This includes the previously announced E3-like stream and events like gamescom, Ignite 2020, and possibly even E3 2021. “In light of the challenges presented by COVID-19, Microsoft has been closely monitoring the developing global situation and re-assessing the overall company-wide in-person event strategy,” a spokesperson told ZDNet....

Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg states that the company is ‘confident’ that Rise of the Tomb Raider can hold its own against the much-anticipated Fallout 4. When Microsoft paid for Rise of the Tomb Raider to be an Xbox One exclusive, it seemed clear that the company was trying to combat Uncharted 4. With that title delayed until 2016, it now seems that Lara Croft’s latest adventure might only provide competition for a big multiplatform release....

Gaming is a barrage on almost all of the senses. Even touch is an important part of the experience as any gamer who has played with a good and bad controller will tell you. Plenty of Monster Hunter news has released as of late, both for the video game series and the upcoming film. Fans were excited to see the reveal of the Switch-exclusive Monster Hunter Rise a few weeks back, and today the Monster Hunter movie has received an official teaser trailer. Though the Monster Hunter movie was delayed until 2021, this newest teaser aims to keep people thinking about the movie and discussing it until its release....

Previously only confirmed for Japan, Nintendo has officially announced that the price of a single Joy-Con in North America will be reduced from $49.99 to $39.99 starting on November 9. A pack of two Joy-Cons, however, will remain at $79.99. Several weeks ago this news was announced for Japan, with no indication that regions beyond Nintendo’s home country would see the price cuts. Earlier today Nintendo confirmed – via Twitter – that the permanent discount is also coming to North America....

Microsoft has seen several issues and rumors pop up about its controllers over the last year. Most recently, the company had to knock down rumors that it forged a deal with Duracell. The allegations claimed the partnership between the two companies was why Xbox controllers still come packed with batteries rather than a charging pack like the PlayStation 5 uses. However, while the claim about a battery partnership was apparently an incorrect rumor, a group of plaintiffs believes controller drift is serious enough to warrant a court case....

Kingdom Hearts 3 is now available and long-time fans of the franchise are busy working through the game’s exciting campaign. Although there is plenty of main storyline content to go around, completionists who want to sink even more hours into the Disney worlds have plenty of optional minigames and challenges to undertake. Players who plan to find all seven giant flan locations might want a few hints though. Scattered throughout the massive game are the Flantastic Seven....

We’d love to say that Hideo Kojima and Konami going their separate ways was all an elaborate April Fools’ joke, but unfortunately that is not the case. The video game creator, who has become synonymous with the Metal Gear Solid franchise that he created, will be finished with his longtime employment at Konami after Metal Gear Solid 5 releases this fall. The company seemed to be in a big hurry to erase all references to the creator from its website and marketing, but it looks like that decision may have been made too hastily....

The offering altars in the game ask Eivor to donate a specific number of a single item. It could be fish, silver, or animal parts to name a few, and usually, the items can be collected nearby.
