It’s been a long and bumpy road for Kelly Marie Tran’s Star Wars career. Originally introduced in The Last Jedi, the character of Rose Tico was rather divisive amongst Star Wars fans, which led to a sustained and vitriolic backlash against the actress herself. This led to the actress leaving social media for some time, as well as a counter backlash from those appreciated her role, followed by more controversy when the character was effectively sidelined in The Rise of Skywalker....

With gaming as widespread as it is, there are many children all over the world with access to different consoles. For younger children however it is the parents’ responsibility for what kind of games and content the children using the consoles have access to. Halton police recently reported on the division’s official Twitter page that one child didn’t take too kindly to their parent’s limits. The child in question called the 911 emergency line to report their mother for the “crime” of changing the password to their Xbox....

Leaked voice clips seem to suggest Warzone’s Verdansk will soon be so overrun with zombies, the powers-that-be will opt to nuke it. When Warzone bridged the gap between Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, the battle royale mode got a brand new map. Rebirth Island. However, its original Verdansk map remains, but it might not be around for much longer. It has been rumored for a while that Verdansk will soon be left in Warzone’s past, and leaked voice clips appear to confirm that eventuality is coming soon....

Beloved multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight celebrated Friday the 13th in a strange way. You’d think a game where one player is a killer and others are the poor saps who run away would do something with Jason. Unfortunately, Friday the 13th has its own (ill-fated) multiplayer game. So Dead by Daylight decided to mark the occasion with an Old Lady Outfit for Leatherface. Leatherface is of course the killer featured in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies....

It may seem hard to believe, but the world almost missed out on the iconic LEGO Star Wars series, according to TT Games co-founder Tom Stone. In a recent episode of the podcast Bits N’ Bricks, the developer revealed the game’s storied past and the troubles the company had pitching it to large publishers, before an offer from Eidos managed to salvage the project. In the ninth episode of the podcast, hosted by Brian Crecente and Ethan Vincent, Stone was invited to talk about the origins of the studio’s love affair with LEGO, which has culminated in a veritable cornucopia of irreverent video games covering beloved franchises like Harry Potter, the Marvel and DC Universes and, of course, Star Wars....

We’re well into the 38th season of the iconic quiz show Jeopardy! but the series has yet to select a permanent host. “This iconic American quiz show still hasn’t decided on a permanent host. Loki’s finale aired this week, and during the credits of the show, it was confirmed that Loki will return for season two - this makes it the first of the Disney+ shows to get this treatment, and suggests the complex time shenanigans of the show will have a major impact on the MCU moving forwards. Marvel’s Avengers kicks off with an exciting campaign that sees Kamala Khan setting out on a task to find out what AIM is up to and possibly helping the Avengers reassemble along the way. The campaign is only around ten hours or so long, but a lot of mystery, action, and tension is packed into that tight experience. By now it’s no secret that Mass Effect: Andromeda did not turn out how the fans or developer BioWare expected. That is, until some anonymous members of the development started speaking up. Mass Effect Legendary Edition did a fantastic job at bringing the epic sci-fi trilogy to modern audiences in a remastered collection of all 3 games. Each title has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, with Mass Effect 1 being the most role-playing-focused of the bunch. A new trailer for BioWare’s in-development Mass Effect game was shown at The Game Awards 2020. The trailer has kickstarted a blaze of speculation regarding the nature of the Mass Effect game. Fueling the fire is the new Mass Effect’s project director, Michael Gamble. One specific topic appears to have caught his attention: A mysterious Mass Relay shown in official BioWare concept art was pointed out by Gamble as something worth further consideration....

Video game protagonists certainly do their fair share of violence, and in many cases, a lot more than their fair share. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, had its 5-year release anniversary not too long ago (back in September), and a lot of people have been coming to the game all of a sudden. There are big mechanics players miss on their first run, but there are also a lot of other little aspects that people just simply didn’t know about....
