If you thought Blizzard was taking a lot of flak for how Diablo 3 launched in North America and Europe for its DRM and server issues - they’ve been under a lot more fire in South Korea. As we previously reported, the server outages in that region caused enough complaints that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) launched an investigation against Blizzard Seoul offices, beginning with a raid on the office itself....
The latest Anthem patch has somehow made the game’s stingy loot system even worse. If there’s one thing that Anthem players can agree on it’s that the game’s loot system sucks. Specifically, it seems like the game is unwilling to let go of even the most basic of high-tier loot unless you’re willing to grind away for 10 or more hours for that lucky drop. It’s so bad that Anthem players even held a boycott earlier this month....

Players got their first extended look at Madden NFL 21 today in a new trailer that features just a select few of the dynamic player and position controls that will be available in this year’s edition of the annual release. Magic: Legends arrived on the Epic Games Store in March courtesy of an open beta test, and things got off to a rough start. Our own Eric Switzer took a peek back then, and he called Magic: Legends “too slow, too demanding, too unfocused, and perhaps even pay-to-win.” Not exactly words you want associated with your nascent ARPG. Since then, Cryptic Studios has been tinkering ceaselessly with Magic: Legends trying to find that special combination that brings a game to life, but three months of work has apparently born so little fruit that Cryptic is ready to call it quits....
Black Widow is barely introduced near the halfway point in Marvel’s Avengers before facing off against Monica Rappaccini, M.O.D.O.K.s right-hand woman. Monica fights from within a massive mech suit while the room fills with gas, making this first real boss fight in the game. There are 3 stages to the fight and Monica will change up her tactics between each stage. With very few chances to heal and threats coming from every direction, you’ll need to make full use of Black Widow’s abilities in order to defeat Monica....

Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai hosted a presentation this week revealing more about new fighter Pyra/Mythra. Sakurai also announced the dual-identity fighter would be available to download later that day, or early the next day depending on where you are. Last year, Microsoft announced its plan to acquire Activision Blizzard. This proposal reignited a war between Microsoft and Sony that has since resulted in the airing of quite a bit of dirty laundry. Most recently, it was revealed that PlayStation’s massive war chest of exclusive titles may be bolstered by behind-the-scenes agreements with third-party studios.
