With plenty of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain fans surely playing what has been dubbed the Definitive Experience of the title, which includes the base game and all of its post-launch release DLC, Konami has decided to refine the game even more so. As it so happens, the video game publisher and developer is set to provide an August update for the stealth-action title that will include a few new features, including swimsuits for characters and the ability to play as Revolver Ocelot in Forward Operating Base missions....

April Fools Day may be the annual holiday for pranks, tomfoolery, and hijinks, but doing them at work can cause more trouble than it’s worth. If a prank goes wrong and upsets a colleague or leaks to the public, it could be a disaster. One company that is well aware of this is Xbox platform-holder Microsoft. In an internal memo sent out by Microsoft marketing chief Chris Capossela, the company has told employees not to pull off any April Fools Day pranks in the office....

After Quantum Break’s PC release reveal sparked concerns that Microsoft is backing away from console gaming, Xbox boss Phil Spencer clarifies the situation. In February, Microsoft confirmed that Xbox One console exclusive Quantum Break would also release for PC. While the hotly anticipated title will not be getting a release via Steam, and it will not offer cross-platform play, players will be able to transfer saves between the two versions. Moreover, certain purchase options for the Xbox One version of the game come with a free code for the digital PC version of Quantum Break too....

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was a major Game of the Year contender upon release, even winning the award at the 2014 Game Developers Choice Awards. Shadow of Mordor’s success even led to the release of a successful sequel in Shadow of War, and while Shadow of Mordor’s online features weren’t a major part of its success, they were still valuable. Now it seems that Warner Bros. will be discontinuing those online features, and players only have until December 31 to enjoy them....

Charming 3D platformer, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, will have a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5 when it releases presumably this Holiday. The PlayStation Brahs found the news on the developer’s Twitter page. Ember Lab also mentions that the game will have a simultaneous release between PS4, PS5, and PC (Epic Game Store), so no one will be missing the magic (except for Xbox fans). For all you karaoke fans out there, you’ll be pleased to know that this does include fan-favorite karaoke songs such as Bakamitai, 24-hour Cinderella, Judgment, and even Rouge of Love, with all tracks having been remastered for vinyl....

Riot Games has nerfed Ezreal in yesterday’s League of Legends: Wild Rift update, which also shipped some leaderboard and matchmaking changes. The mobile title is currently in open beta, available only to a select few countries across the Asian region. This update should further optimize the game for future regional releases. A patch for Left 4 Dead 2 was released on Steam in an attempt to solve some of the matchmaking and performance problems PC players have been falling victim to, but many annoying bugs and random crashes remain. Chargers are sticking people into walls, witches are becoming invincible, invisible walls are incapacitating survivors and varying degrees of crashing is occurring. Xbox 360 owners have previously been left for dead when it comes to updates, waiting an extra month for patches for the first Left 4 Dead....

You think you’ve seen it all, and then another simulator comes to play on PC. We’ve had a bus simulator, a PC building simulator, and even a cultist simulator, but now you can wait in lines to your heart’s content with Line Simulator this November. However, there may be more than meets the eye. Releasing on Steam VR, the developer Stracos Labs claims that Line Simulator will have an action-packed storyline with branching quest paths, decision making, and different endings....

Nintendo’s anticipated remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening was a big success on the Nintendo Switch, becoming the fastest-selling game on the console in 2019. Selling almost 600,000 copies in the first three days of sale in Japan and Europe alone, it’s safe to say the franchise is still alive and well, and that many fans have lots of room in their heart for the original game.
