Three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep joins the ensemble cast of Ryan Murphy’s feature film adaptation of The Prom for Netflix. Now, the streamer has released a song from the film’s soundtrack in which viewers can watch in awe as Streep tries her hand at rapping. The Prom originated as a stage production co-written by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin with music by Matthew Sklar. Based on a concept by Jack Viertel, the story follows Broadway stars Dee Dee Allen and Barry Glickman, who find their once glorious careers have stalled after their latest show becomes a major and expensive flop....

As promised, 2K Games has officially revealed Mafia Trilogy, an enhanced collection of the first three Mafia games. This includes a full-blown remake of the original Mafia, though fans won’t be able to get their hands on it until August 28. The Mafia Trilogy consists of Definitive Editions of the first three Mafia games, with the Mafia 2 and 3 upgrades available now along with all of their DLC. The Mafia 1 remake includes a brand new game engine, new cut-scenes, new gameplay, and more enhancements....

The current COVID-19 pandemic has hugely affected production across both film and TV with delays in filming and cast or crew contracting coronavirus but Star Trek producer Alex Kurtzman has shared some numbers that show how much the cost has risen for many TV productions. Talking on TV’s Top 5 podcast, Kurtzman told hosts Lesley Goldberg and Dan Fienberg that precautionary measures, such as PPE, added an extra $300,000-$500,000 to the budget of each TV episode of currently running Star Trek series....

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is the long-awaited followup to one of the longest lasting and most influential simulator series ever. Microsoft is pushing to improve its accessibility features in Xbox Party Chat with a new update for Insiders, testing the waters before a fully-fledged release. Starting today, Insiders can access text-to-speech and speech-to-text transcriptions. As seen in the picture above, the party chat is being displayed on the top right with a faded black background to make the white text easier to read, with different colors for each speaker and a title to represent who is speaking....

Minecraft fans have a long history of making memes online. Minecraft could allegedly soon support cross-platform play between PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices, via Mojang’s Minecraft server renting system, Minecraft: Realms. UPDATE: In a statement, a Minecraft spokesperson clarified: “We are working toward a future where Minecraft players can play together using the devices they want. As we announced at E3, we are working on bringing cross-device multiplayer to consoles next year in addition to the cross-device multiplayer we have today on mobile, Gear VR and Windows 10....

Last Oasis may have had one of the worst early access launches in recent memory, but the development team set a new bar for community interaction. If you were unable to log into developer Donkey Crew’s open world survival game “Last Oasis” over the weekend, you weren’t alone. Thousands of hopeful gamers flooded login screens to brave the desert wastelands and frozen tundras that the trailers had promised at launch. Unfortunately, players were instead met with four days of endless queues and broken login screens....

Leigh Whannell and his collaborator and friend, James Wan, have dominated the horror movie landscape ever since hacking their way onto the scene in 2004 with the out-of-nowhere Saw. To say that Loop Hero is a success would be an understatement, as Four Quarters and Devolver Digital’s roguelite autobattler is a breakout success on Steam. By nature of the beast, players will likely end up spending a lot of time with the game, as there is a lot of grinding involved in upgrading the town fully and each expedition will take some time to fully develop the loop. Despite this and the game’s initial success, it doesn’t seem as though Four Quarters is planning on taking a break, as it has revealed in a recent interview with Game Rant that more content will be added sometime down the road....
