Exorcisms are hot right now in anime — though, to be fair, they always have been. Killing demons and banishing some spirits back to where they belong is often an interesting sight. Exorcism anime tend to blend action and horror in that regard due to the manner of their subject matter. And when two genres coexist well in one medium, it’s always a treat for the viewers. If said anime has awesome visuals and takes away plenty from other successful titles, then that’s all the more reason to watch it....

Before even the opening title card, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom tells you exactly what kind of movie it is going to be. Beginning with a pair of meat sacks who could very well be credited as “Prime” and “Tender,” the first shot follows two poor souls piloting a tiny submarine into the aquatic pool that housed the Mosasaurus in the first Jurassic World. If you don’t recall, that was the water-lizard introduced by swallowing a Great White Shark whole....

Koei Tecmo, the publisher of the successful Dynasty Warriors series, has expressed interest in working with two franchises. In an interview with Kotaku, the president of Koei Tecmo, Hisashi Koinuma, stated that he would be interested in working with Star Wars, saying that the popular space opera would be “perfect” as a Warriors game. Nintendo fans however, will probably be more intrigued by his desire to work on Super Mario....

It goes without saying that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is a favorite for game of the year, and will more than likely become revered as one of the video game series’ top ranking titles. Plus, with critics pouring effusive praise upon the action-stealth release, making claims that it could be considered Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece in their extremely positive reviews, over time The Phantom Pain may go on to be remembered as a classic....

This year has not been overly kind to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. While the game remains on track for release in September, it’s seen a number of controversies ranging from strange action figures, head transplant doctors, and more importantly, a feud between the series longtime developer and parent company, Konami. With Kojima’s last foray into the Metal Gear franchise only a few months away at this point, many fans are wondering how Konami is planning on keeping this long running franchise going without its legendary developer behind the wheel....

People never seem to grow tired of discovering early builds of their favorite video games, as evidenced by the 2018 Pokemon Sword and Shield beta that was recently uncovered by multiple sources. The leak comes just a few days after source files for planned sequels to Pokemon X and Y leaked online. Various sources - including a Twitter account called Centro Pokemon - have shared multiple images of the Sword and Shield beta build, showcasing unfinished locations, unused assets, and a handful of Pokemon that didn’t make the final cut....

LEGO is celebrating Nintendo’s history with 35th-anniversary sets including an interactive Super Mario toy and a LEGO NES with Super Mario Bros. Easter eggs. However, in the realm of video games, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is in the works as a celebration of all nine mainline movies in the over 40-year-old franchise, and a leaked startup menu screen suggests developer TT Games will be leaning into that. The menu is a supposedly animated splash screen of major characters from all three trilogies on a generic rocky terrain, but what makes it special is seeing how they intersperse: Kylo Ren stands with Boba Fett, Rose Tico and Captain Phasma are hanging out with Yoda and Lando Calrissian, and the original trilogy heroes are near the top with Rey and Mace Windu....

The next entry in the Dark Pictures Anthology following the upcoming House of Ashes will be titled “The Devil in Me”. This was posted by ResetEra user AshenOne, who spotted a trademark for the game going up on Justia Trademarks. The trademark reveals the title of the next game in the series, as well as showing off the logo. The logo for the game is fairly simplistic and similar to the other entries into the series, which means that it doesn’t give away too much information about the plot of the next game....

Magic: Legends is looking to shake up the action RPG genre. The more that’s shown of the Magic: Legends, the clearer it is that it’s deviating heavily from the Diablo 2 formula that most modern ARPGs take inspiration from. Players will still be hacking and slashing with dozens of clicks, but the progression system is rooted in Magic-inspired deckbuilding. In a new trailer, interested gamers can see exactly what that means, as well as take note of Magic: Legends upcoming open beta....

Magic: The Gathering has already entered the world of PC (and soon Mac) gaming with Magic Arena, but now the iconic card game is taking yet another form and allowing gamers to take control of planeswalkers in an action RPG with MMO elements. Magic Legends is currently in closed testing and is aiming for a 2021 release on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. When the Cryptic Studios title arrives, players will be able to take control of their own planeswalker and work through the game solo or with a small group of friends....

With Mass Effect: Legendary Edition being a remaster of the original Mass Effect trilogy, BioWare undoubtedly made adjustments to the games. The remaster will provide graphical updates among other things to the Mass Effect trilogy, such as adding a universal character creator. BioWare developers recently confirmed the iconic elevator sequences from the first Mass Effect were changed for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. BioWare’s Mac Walters and Kevin Meek spoke to Game Informer about some of the details that will be changed for the remaster, including shortening the elevator rides for players that way players don’t have to wait as long as they did in the original Mass Effect this time around....

Kia is the newest sponsor of the Rogue’s League of Legends European Championship team based in Berlin, Germany. In a new commercial the team shows off the newest vehicle with players Finn, Inspired, Larssen, Vander, and Hans sama piling in and going for a ride. The announcement is not the first time that Kia has sponsored this league. February 2019 marked it first sponsorship deal of the overall championship with a new film titled “Ready to Play,” featuring well known casters from the LEC....

Video game development has changed drastically since Hideo Kojima first entered the scene as a designer for Konami’s MSX home computer division back in 1986. Whereas smaller, more regulated teams were the norm during the early stages of the industry’s evolution from niche market to financial powerhouse, video game development now takes on a number of different forms - some of which, Kojima revealed recently, he believes are much worse than others....
